   I believe it is worth the extra money as the container that holds the rice is very well made and the non-stick finish is baked on inside and out which gives me peace of mind that it will not wear off as my old one did. Plus you don’t have to think, just put your rice in and its done in a few minutes and it looks great on the counter along side my stainless steel appliances.

   I got exactly what I expected and better. The pot for the rice steamer is even better quality than I expected. I tried it out last night and the rice cooked perfectly. The pot is very easy to clean and it doesn’t take very much room on the counter.

   PERFECT rice. I used the larger size for over a decade before it kicked the bucket. The stainless steel really stands up to a decade of cleaning. Just got the smaller size today and it’s just as good as the big one. Made rice twice since it arrived this morning. The machine is made well and I have no doubt I’ve got another great machine here. It makes just the right amount for 2 to 6 people. It can’t be easier to use: you just put the rice in, water to the line and press the button.

   this is such a poorly designed rice cooker for a lot of little reasons and a few big. 1: the rim where the lid rests has divots/dimples that do not allow the lid to nest flushly. inexplicably there are three evenly spaced along the edge of the inner rim. aligned and flush on one side, there’s a huge gap on the other and vice versa. there’s just no way for it to sit flush and neat with a seal of any kind. such a major fail that it presents several issues. -the first of which is a huge mess, even when cooking small amounts the water bubbles up and out and over the edge. I have to clean the exterior of this thing every single time, not just the inner pot. I am not this messy. this pic is after one use. -the rice inside spoils very quickly or dries out without an ability to close properly -the glass lid is incredibly unstable whenever moving the unit as it dangerously wobbles 2: glass lid. this has already had to be replaced simply because it is dangerously insecure and wobbly. it has fallen to it’s death once already and come close a few times more. 3: no auto shutoff. if you make rice, scoop some and walk away, the following morning you’ll come back to the unit still on as well as with dried out rice. not only is this a huge headache, an issue that every rice cooker I’ve had in the past has been able to contend with but it’s a major electricity parasite not to mention waste of rice. whoever designed this needs to reevaluate their life or Cuisinart needs to hire a halfway competent r&d dept. save yourself a headache and buy any asian brand that figured these minor issue out from the get go. I tried to buy American but unfortunately it’s backfired again.

   I’m a big Cuisinart Fan. We have Toaster Oven, Food Processor & Coffee Pot. Looking for Rice Cooker and liked Stainless Steel design. A few criticisms. No On/Off button. You have to plug & unplug it every time you use it. Video on cuisinartoutlets.com has women talking about turning it on. No you toggle from warm to cook. No off available. cuisinartoutlets.com has what I thought was a great price. But no. I expected this to have the cord retractable mechanism. Cuisinart thrifts out this mechanism and doesn’t tell you. See photo where it should be. I expect that at TJ Maxx. Not Cuisinart Store on cuisinartoutlets.com. It cooks rice as expected. Fast. Good. I think this is a $25 Rice Cooker with a $30 Cuisinart Name on it.

    Real simple. It arrived at my parents house. A week or so later I took the still boxed item back to my house and opened it. Read the instructions plugged the transformer from usa to uk plug in and cooked some rice as per instructions. The next time I went to cook. No lights came on it. Stopped working after 1 use.
