Great product ! I needed something to make consistend fresh ground beef patties and veggie/bean burgers. Naturally, items sticking in this are the primary worry. I tried oiling the press and using saran wrap – not a good result. The answer ? Parchment Paper. I take a rectangle 2x the size of the width of the press, paper on the bottom, add meat/beans, fold the paper over the top and press. I also found it easier to cook the pressed patties after putting them in the freezer for about 20 minutes after pressing (pan frying and grilling). Highly recommended.

This hamburger smasher is great. I would suggest use wax paper at the bottom before Smashing the hamburger. It makes it easier to pull the hamburgers out.

i read a million reviews of burger presses and they all seemed to have problems. either burger patties too small, hard to clean (i don’t want to take it apart every time) or flimsy. this double press solves ALL of those problems. press is a nice 4.5″ size, and you can use less meat for this smashed patties or more for large ones. super easy to clean, no small places where meat can get stuck (though it’s not dishwasher safe). the press is made of cast aluminum (not plastic) and the handle is a good size and sturdy. like most other burger presses, you should line the cavity with saran wrap or pieces of wax paper to make the burgers easy to eject. SO happy with my purchase.
