Our family loves making waffles on the weekend. We have tried a couple of the cheaper ones, but this one is definitely the best so far. It’s worth spending a little extra for this one, the non stick surface is better and it cooks and beeps at the proper time. Also make sure to season it as per the instructions.

I am very fussy. Just had to pitch my old waring waffle iron. New ones of those are in the hundreds. It was a gift years ago and had no idea how expensive they were. But the Cuisinart looks almost identical with the same features that I love. On/off switch, peeps when it reaches temp, beeps when waffle is done. It does not come with a drip tray which to me is a mandatory requirement. Any plate sitting underneath really helps with the overflow clean up.
Over flow happens regularly believe me. A rotating iron was extremely important too,

In my view, this is the best quality waffle iron any home cook would need. Since I’m not running a breakfast diner, I saw no need to spend hundreds for the industry standard Waring Pro machine. And this Cuisinart flip model produces waffles as nicely browned and crisp-tender as you could hope for. It’s the best waffle iron I’ve ever owned.

Loved this waffle maker, however after exactly one year of use, (once or twice a month) the plastic cap that covers the turning mechanism in the back, behind the pans broke. The plastic piece that holds it together cracked in half eventually falling from the waffle maker exposing the wires which were now getting tangled since the piece fell off. As for the cooking abilities, it made consistent waffles, and the dial option worked well. We did use light oil to grease the pans and experienced no build up (Never used sprays). The pans themselves held up nicely and were easy to clean. We did not repurchase the same waffle maker because of the weakness in the frame which is too bad as it made great waffles and was consistent regarding it’s cooking capabilities.

I love my new Belgium Waffle maker. It’s cookes waffles in 2 minutes. Just make sure you use the temperature on number 3 setting the first time you use it because you will possibly burn them, until you know what setting you like.
