   I bought this as a replacement for a pan I had for years but wasn’t dishwasher safe. Purely out of habit and because it cleaned out so easily in the sink, I’d washed this one by hand from the day I got it. (It’s also huge, so it would take up a lot of space in the DW.) Finally, about a week ago, I decided I’d to be lazy and put it in the dishwasher and it seemed to be okay. A few days later, I did it again and that’s when I noticed the exterior didn’t look quite as good as it had. It had gone from a dark, charcoal gray with a very smooth finish to light gray and the finish was coarse-feeling. The inside of the pan, however, still looks and cooks great and is no worse for the wear. When I look at the pan now, though, I’m really disappointed.

   This was a great price, but pay attention to the instructions that say don’t heat past “4”. You don’t need to, and it will bow the bottom. I fix it with a block of wood and a hammer just fine… but… do follow the instructions.

   First off, you wouldn’t expect a unit from Cuisinart to have paint on it that just wipes off when you try to clean it with regular dish soap. The cooking surface works great but all of the paint on the base of this unit just wipes off little at a time every time I clean it. Makes for quite the gray mess all over the place. Soon, there will be no paint at all. It would have been better had they just not painted it and left it bare aluminum. Not really expecting this type of LOW QUALITY from Cuisinart.

   I have tried many nonstick pans and they all wear out eventually. This one has lasted 2+ years, which is double what I have gotten with other pans. I use a glass top halogen burner cooktop and the pan heats evenly. The rolled edge on the rim helps prevent drips down the side when pouring. Tips for longevity in any nonstick are to never clean in dishwasher even if it says dishwasher safe, never use metal utensils even if it says they are safe, and never preheat the pan on high because temperatures above 500 degrees damage the nonstick surface. Only con would be no helper handle for pouring. For the price I have not used better but have paid more for worse pans. The attached pic is the wear after about 2 1/2 years and the nonstick properties are starting to degrade. Time to replace.

   We have had this fry pan for a few years now. Used it to cook everything from burgers to eggs to pork chops so it’s seen a lot of action.

   It is still good but it’s showing it’s age (definitely not cast iron or high end cook-ware) so it’s got some issues. It’s a little warped (probably from being over heated) and it’s coating is starting to wear as well (you can feel it when you wash it by hand which I usually do).
   I try to wash all my cook-wear by hand so as to not damage it by banging it on other dishes but once in a while someone will put it in the DW so I can’t stop that.

   Treat it right, it will last a good while is what I will say.

   This is probably the best non-stick pan you can get at this price point—especially from a trusted brand like Cuisinart. It’s super lightweight, making it easy on the hands, and the build quality is excellent. The size is just right for everyday cooking—perfect for sautéing, deep frying, or boiling. It heats up quickly and distributes heat evenly, which means faster, more consistent cooking without hot spots. Food cooks thoroughly and efficiently every time. It’s also very easy to clean, and dishwasher safe, which adds to the convenience. I always keep an extra one on hand as a backup because I love it that much. For the quality, price, and performance, you can’t go wrong with this pan!

   When I searched for a large pan which would work on an induction stove top this pan was displayed as being one that would work. Given that my search was worded specifically to see only those pans which work on an induction stove top this should not have come up as an option. This pan is not designed for induction heating. Not the pan’ s or Cuisinart’s issue, this is on you cuisinartoutlets.com, You owe me $85.

   My Cuisinart 12″ frying pan arrived on time, packaged well and is in good condition. I had previously owned a Cuisinart frying pan for a number of years and it was time to replace it. The exterior is classic and the inside is resistant to most kinds of abuse. The manufacturers information is easy to understand in regard to care and usage. If you need a frying pan that is deeper than standard with a lid, this one is a good buy.

    Great frypan but did not realize until after we used it there was no tab/small handle on the other side of the fry pan which is very heavy when used closer to capacity. It is hard to lift when hot when only using the one handle especially when removing from oven. Otherwise it is a nice addition to our kitchen.

    Totally non stick. Even when you’re husband cooks dinner on Thursday then you go work 3 14 hour shifts and come home Sunday morning and it’s still on the stove. No scrubbing needed.

    Bought this for my wife to replace exact same pan I got her about 3 years ago. She loves it. I will say though, the non stick covering quit working on the original after about 3 years, which is why I got her this one. But she still loves it, so when she needs another I’ll get another one.
