   Let me start the detailed review of the Cuisinart CPT-160 Metal Classic 2-Slice Toaster. The first thing I want to highlight is the remarkable speed of delivery. After placing the order, I was pleasantly surprised to receive it within five hours, a testament to the company’s efficiency. This was particularly impressive as my old toaster was no longer performing at its best. After spending about two hours researching the right toaster, I decided on this Cuisinart CPT-160 2-Slice Toaster. I was right, as it has left us with a pleasant impression. The Cuisinart CPT-160 2-Slice Toaster is crafted from high-quality stainless steel, a material known for its durability and sleek appearance. The brushed stainless steel color adds a touch of elegance to any kitchen. Its dimensions are 7.13″ deep x 10.75″ wide x 7.13″ high, and it features a convenient small sliding crumb tray at the bottom left. I will describe the functions of the beautiful toaster: • The Bagel function heats only the top half of the bagel so that it is crispy on top and soft on the bottom. • Toast: for regular and toasted bread • Defrost: first defrost and then toast frozen bread • Reheat: allows you to reheat toasted bread without browning or burning it • Cancel: stops all toasting operations The shade control setting offers toasting options, allowing us to toast our slices of bread as we like; we use it on the 3-4 medium toast setting. The first thing we did before using it was blowtorching it with an air gun to remove dust. I put it in toast mode but without bread to burn, dust, or any other material, and if it smelled something like it was a new product, after a few minutes and when the new smell disappeared, we put the first slices of bread, in the 1-2 setting the toast was light brown I changed the setting to 3-4. The result was perfect; I like a medium brown tone, and the toasted bread was delicious. In summary, the Cuisinart CPT-160 Metal Classic 2-Slice Toaster not only adds a touch of elegance to our kitchen but also offers a user-friendly experience. Its shiny stainless steel color sparkles and its shade control setting allows us to toast our slices of bread just the way we like. The bread was delicious with a perfect medium toast, and the toaster arrived in our kitchen ready to toast many slices of bread for a long time. Based on my pleasant experience, I highly recommend it.    I have already tried the new toaster, a Cuisinart CPT 160, and it isn’t good. Doesn’t toast the same on both sides of the bread. One side of the bread is very dark and burned on the three setting, while the other side is normal; that’s with two slices toasted. The lever on the toaster sometimes has to be pushed down hard to get it to stick. The dial to set toasting darkness is flimsy and hard to get it to stay at one spot. These are similar to complaints of other reviewers. Also, the base of the toaster and bottom is plastic, instead of metal like the sides. So I will be in the market for a new toaster. Will try a different brand. This has some of the same problems at my previous Cuisinart CPT 415 that I had to throw away recently because the lever no longer stayed down and wouldn’t engage for it to toast even if I held the lever down. Cuisinart never responded to me about a warranty. No one answers their phones. Also, on my new toaster, the bagel button just makes it toast longer. And it doesn’t toast only the inside of a cut bagel as my old, higher end Cuisinart did. And the defrost button just toasts longer and doesn’t defrost and then toast like my previous toaster. And the reheat button just toasts for a short time instead of reheating and not toasting. So the temperature control is no good. And not easy to use. The stainless steel metal doesn’t seem to be as solid as on my old toaster and it shows fingerprints. So constantly have to clean it. I have read a lot of reviews of toasters and they all have negatives, especially not toasting evenly and the lever malfunctioning. Old toasters didn’t used to have these problems. The new ones aren’t made as well as the old ones, like a lot of other products such as cars. Also, this toaster is not a good value for the money because of these issues. It looks good, but that’s about it. And it has a crumb tray. Cuisinart used to be a very good brand, but its quality has declined. It’s owned by Conair Corp. UPDATE: It’s still working after a year, so I upgraded the stars from two to three. My main complaint is the lever often won’t stay down unless you push it extra hard.

   well this is a charming little toaster… But it’s the third toaster I’ve purchased. Having returned the other two, I thought I would go for the Cuisinart brand. They all toast fine except on the bagel setting. I thought it was supposed to toast one side only. In all three of the toasters including this one, the bagel setting actually toasts both sides, and it does a darker job of toasting on one side for the bagel setting. So that’s my question. Maybe I’m crazy? Do I not understand what bagel setting is supposed to be? If anybody has an answer please let me know I’m willing to learn. And I’m definitely not returning any more toasters, I’m over it.

   Not happy with this Cuisinart toaster, at all. 1. Very cheaply made, so lightweight. 2. Used it for over a month and still can’t figure out the correct dial settings for various breads to toast, bagels, English muffins. It’s hit or miss. 3. When lever is depressed to begin toasting it just pops right back up..have to depress several times for it to begin toasting. Seems like I’m always fighting to just toast . Had a Cuisinart years ago and loved it. I replaced that toaster with a toaster oven to free up space on kitchen counter. Recently replaced the toaster oven with air fryer so I wanted just a toaster. Never should have discarded my OG Cuisinart! They just don’t make them like they use too, unfortunately. Do not recommend.

    So far toaster does what it should. The bagel setting and cancel are handy to have. The lever to raise toast that is small only raises the toast a small amount, wish it could be higher.

    I bought this toaster when my previous identical toaster of 25+ years stopped working. When I attempted to use it, I discovered it didn’t work either! WHAT??? No, no, no! This can’t be! Ohhhhh… my electric outlet had tripped. Reset outlet. Ooooo… now, they both work! LOL! That’s OK! I’ll keep the second one! It’s a great toaster, very good quality, which is why I bought it in the first place! 25+ years and the first one still works??? I think I got my money’s worth and then some! I highly recommend this product. It doesn’t hurt that it looks really good, too!

    I had the 4 slice toaster that lasted many years and when it stopped working I bought the 2 slice model because of counter space. The quality doesn’t feel the same and it doesn’t cook evenly.
