One of the best purchases. A staple in our kitchen

I had a Kitchen Aid mixer until we moved overseas. When we returned several months ago, I wanted another high-quality mixer but didn’t want to shell out $450-$475 for a Kitchen Aid. Everything I’ve ever bought from Cuisinart has been fantastic; so, especially since the Cuisinart is half the price of a Kitchen Aid and gets excellent reviews, I decided to give it a try. Wow! It works even better than my previous Kitchen Aid (and I love the red color).

Having just received this Cuisinart mixer and reading the reviews about the mixer vibrating while mixing dough,
I looked at the mixer closely and saw a little white grease just above the mixer head and cleaned it,
not wanting it to fall in the pizza dough i would be mixing. Unfortunately after using it the first time
a little more grease was coming out from the same area.
i decided to try it out with a simple 4 cup of flour pizza dough recipe that i have been using for years.
I noticed the mixer shaking a bit while kneading and that a lot of flower remained
on the side of the bow, turning it off scraping the flour down and turning it on again slowly going to number 4 speed and shaking was getting worse,
Not happy with the vibrating, i decided to look a little further into the problem and discovered a clear defect in the Base of the Cuisinart SM-50 Mixer,
At the rear of the base there is a Small Metal Foot, and all around the base there are 5 other Rubber Feet to stop vibrations while using the mixer,
The issue is the Fixed Metal foot is 3 millimeters in height and the Rubber Feet are between 2 and 2.5 millimeters in height
causing the metal foot to touch the counter while the rubber feet do not touch the counter evenly.
This is a major flaw that needs a solution. Either taller rubber feet or shorter metal foot,
Not very pleased at the moment.
I will be contacting cuisinartoutlets.com Support for a solution.
I have attached Photos of the issues noted above.
UPDATE To The Above.
Issues with the Replacement Mixer as seen in the video.
cuisinartoutlets.com responded promptly to the above issues and sent out a replacement mixer,
I received the mixer today Dec 24, opened the box and plugged the mixer in to test prior to using any attachments.
This replacement mixer sounds like a train on a track, unbelievable loud clanking noise.
I have uploaded a video of the noise,
Note this mixer also has the same issues with the Rubber Feet not contacting the counter top properly causing imbalance.
Will be contacting support again regarding this ongoing issue. and update.
UPDATE NUMBER 2
Returned both Red Mixers and Ordered another hoping for a better experience,
I ordered and Paid for a NEW Cuisinart SM-50BCC Silver Mixer,
To my surprise i Received a USED, REPACKED, UNCLEANED Cuisinart SM-50BCC Silver Mixer.
The Mixer i received had the Mixing paddle, Bread Hook and Beater loose in the bowl, The bowl had stains on it from prior use.
The mixing paddle was dirty, see images.
someone had returned it without repacking everything, Simply dumping everything in the bowl and returning it,
And no one bothered to inspect and clean the unit prior to reselling it, pretty disgusting.
Please look at the included images of the SM-50BCC Silver Mixer,
Not a great experience…
Waiting for a replacement again and see how that works out..
Looks like cuisinartoutlets.com took my video of the mixer down, will be putting it up again, hopefully it wont be removed again..

I debated for a long time about a stand mixer, did I need one, what brand should I get, will it be powerful enough and the price. I decide on the Cuisinart because it met all my needs and, the price was great. So far, so good, it has done everything I’ve asked of it, heavy breads which I like are no problem, cookies are fast and easy as are cake batters. I had though about “the other brand” but, after talking with a couple of friends who own them and hearing their experiences with them I chose Cuisinart. The machine is very quiet, it has all the power I want, no shaking or wandering on the counter, glad I chose it.

My previous mixer burned out a few years ago. This year I found Christmas baking exhausting and hurt my arthritic fingers and hands. I’m not a fan of the more famous brand mixers due to the accessory attachment nose that sticks out the front. In this brand, that attachment drive is still there, but hidden behind the chrome name plate on the front when its not in use. The machine looks sharp in RED and has clean lines. The metal mixing bowl locks in place securely. I have used the mix paddle and the cream whipping blade but not yet the dough hook or the covers for the bowl that prevent flour dust from flying all over. I sometimes am amazed at what good looking and apparently good quality things we can get for the price of two dinners out. I put bowl and mixer blades in the dishwasher.

I lost the attachments to my older model Cuisinart Mixer when I moved so I recently purchased the CUISINART SM-50R Precision Master 5.5 Qt Stand Mixer, and I couldn’t be happier! This vibrant red mixer not only looks stunning on my countertop but also delivers exceptional performance. The 5.5-quart bowl is spacious enough for large batches, making it perfect for baking cookies, bread, and even whipping up frosting.
The various speed settings allow for precise mixing, and I love the powerful motor that effortlessly handles tough doughs. The tilt-head design makes it easy to add ingredients and access the bowl. Cleanup is a breeze too, as the stainless steel bowl is dishwasher safe.
Overall, this stand mixer combines style and functionality perfectly. If you’re serious about baking or cooking, the CUISINART SM-50R is definitely worth the investment! Highly recommended!
