It is rough with splinters, you need to sand down and oil before use. After a couple uses, it started splitting at the 2 seams on the larger board, now there’s a gap. Called once and submitted claim to Cuisinart twice as instructed by them, no response after weeks.

The board itself is fairly rough and needs to be sanded down more, but also oil doesn’t seem to soak in very well and just sits on top. I have to oil it after every use/wash.

These are the real deal. Finally got rid of the plastic boards and splurged on real wood. Thought about titanium but decided to go with the wood. I’m carnivore so these get used most every day. The large one will hold any roast, other than a twenty pound brisket. I know ’cause I just bought one the other day and it don’t fit. The small one is good for steaks, chicken, anything. Perfect if you are a salad and veggie eater too.

Good quality. Needs oil a little more often than my others, but it’s also new. So that could be the reason.
