   Daily use had worn my old grinder out. The front grate had long since become a separate piece and finally a small hole appeared in one side so that it was making a huge mess inside the machine. Getting this new one completely revitalized the coffee maker. It’s quieter, it makes no mess at all, and I’m wasting a lot less coffee because it does a better job grinding. If you’re thinking it’s time to replace your grinder, I recommend doing it sooner rather than later!

   Our coffee pot had model number DBG-650 stamped on it.
   Some research indicated this grinder would fit a DBG-650BC which was close but not exact.
   It looks like DBG-650 is a family of coffee makers and is one of the many Cuisinart models this grinder is compatible with. For us it fit perfect and replaced our old grinder that had developed a hole from years of the beans flying around during the grinding.

   It’s not an inexpensive part for a coffee maker that is many years old like ours, but ours has a steel carafe and otherwise worked great – replacing the entire coffee maker would have been substantially more expensive.

    Great replacement for my coffee maker. I had no idea I could wear this piece out but after about 10 years, I wore right through the side of it after grinding coffee in it every morning. This fit perfectly and I am back to not spilling ground coffee everywhere.

    This is the second time I ordered this replacement part for my coffee maker. The first one was a REALLY tight fit and to get it back out of the coffee maker to clean it after using it took prying it out with a knife. I returned it and recently reordered it in desperation to find a replacement (I literally had the other grinder patched with Gorilla Duct tape). Same problem initially, but lubricating the lower outside of the grinder with Pam and then sliding it into place seemed to work well. It did come out of the coffee maker easier and when I put it back in today (after using Pam again), it seemed to fit even better. Maybe the heat from the coffee maker helped the new part mold to the size of the opening better. Whatever happened, was glad to find a replacement part for the grinder mechanism. Should be good for quite awhile.
