   Pros: it’s automatic Cons: it shreds the cork. The central screw isn’t solid in place, but moves. This causes the screw to take wild journey through the cork. As in the pic every cork comes out like this.

   Look of the opener great. Operation of opener horrible. Have to keep repeating process to uncork. Which cork comes out half way, then I have to use a manual cork screw to open.

   We have owned many of these types of wine openers and have had limited luck with battery life. So we read the reviews and thought we’d spend a little more money and get a better rated one. No such luck! Out of about 10 attempts we have no successful openings! Sent the first one back as maybe a lemon. No, that’s also what we got as the 2nd one. Just chews the top of the cork to pieces and won’t pull the cork. Will be returning this one as well as it’s a piece of crap! Don’t understand where the good reviews are coming from. We are not beginners!!!

    We’ve been using generic brand electric wine openers for a while now and they keep dying after a while. So we decided to spend a few bucks more and buy this wine opener. It works really powerfully and seems to be consistent in opening bottles. It comes with a foil cutter that fits inside the base for storage. The only downside is it takes up a bit more space and is a bit wider around the grip than the other ones we had before we liked it so much we bought a second one for downstairs. It’s worth the extra $5 over other ones to get this one so good value for your money. It looks professional but just a bit wider.

    It’s easy to grip and ergonomically comfortable when using. I like that it has the foil cutter included. It sits on my counter out of the way, on its charger base. It looks great and coordinates well with my stainless steel appliances. Recently I have unplugged the charger from the outlet because I knew I wouldn’t have company for a while. But when I did have company it was fully charged and ready to go. This makes bottle opening so easy. I can’t believe I waited so long to go electric.

    This has stood up and performed well. However, if a cork or a broken piece of a cork gets stuck in the base, this presents an issue. Normally, you flip press the inner base and unscrewing stuck cork. If a broken cork gets stuck, you are disassembling thr entire unit.

    I bought this as a gift for a wine enthusiast. It took a minute to understand how to properly use this (it is very simple, but somehow we still did it wrong), but once we got the hang of it, it is really simple to use. Also nice looking so not an issue to store on a countertop or in a bar area.
