   This is such a feat of engineering. The entire unit goes together seamlessly and there is hardly any cleanup. Sure—you have to clean the cups and blades after using, but they come apart easily. But, there is virtually no cleanup of the machine itself—unless you accidentally leave the cup in the closed position (oops) when you start to dispense the soft serve. Then there is a little bit of ice cream to clean up.

   Summer Time Game Changer – y’all I just made ice cream out of apple sauce! My kids loved it and I loved that it’s a snack I normally give them. So far we have used yogurt, apple sauce, pudding, chocolate milk mixed with bananas, coffee with creamer (hubby loves this one!) and blended fruit. When my kids ask for ice cream every day I have no problem obliging. This does take prep though as the containers have to be frozen ~24 before you begin – but we bought a few extra so we also keep some on hand in the freezer. I also keep some pints only half full so that it’s a better portion for my kids to spilt which works great. 

   A downside- it is incredibly loud. No ice cream snacks for mom and dad after kids go to bed (at least in our household) also the swirl handle is not my favorite but it gets the job done. The handle isn’t as sensitive to smaller movements and then comes out pretty fast but I’m getting the hang of it. Also freezing the pint after you “creamify” it does work well. If you want to save leftovers you have to re-spin them to get consistency back. But overall well worth the purchase!

   5 out of 5 stars! I absolutely love my Ninja Swirl. I use it primarily for healthier high protein ice creams and they turn out delicious. The machine works great, although a bit loud. The swirl setting to make ice cream cones is always fun. The kids love it. I would recommend this machine to anyone that loves ice cream.

   Amazing product – easy to use and easy to clean and maintain. Well developed product with multiple options. The containers are self contained when you plug them in – so the machine itself never gets messy! Just simply wash out the containers once done and you’re all set! Functions as advertised, quick clean, quick use (freezing the cream takes 24 hours but actually making the soft serve only takes a few minutes!). Beautiful design, great size – fits nice on a countertop. Taste is dependent on your ice cream developing skills – there are many recipe books out there, but it’s easy to make simple flavors. 10/10!

   Perfect for any kind of ice cream. I made a cottage cheese Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie ice cream and my husband had NO idea it was cottage cheese. Also made some Dole Whip and protein ice creams. The soft serve swirl is great and easy to use too. Buy more containers though. 2 is not enough.

    The Ninja Swirl has seriously leveled up dessert at our house. We’ve made soft serve, milkshakes, sorbet—you name it. The texture is smooth, the process is easy, and the cleanup isn’t bad either. I was a little skeptical at first, but it’s legit. We’ve started making our own “copycat” DQ Blizzards and frozen yogurt bowls, and it’s actually saving us money. You can load it up with toppings or keep it simple with just fruit, and it handles both like a champ. I’d highly recommend grabbing the extra containers too (we got a couple more)—it’s super convenient to prep a few different flavors and just swap them in whenever. If you’re even halfway into ice cream or frozen treats, you won’t regret buying this. It’s a hit in our house.

    Absolutely love the ice cream! Healthy ice-cream however you want it. Why I knock off one star: the machine requires extensive cleaning after each use. I have to take pieces apart to clean. (One container only fills about 4 kid sized ice cream cones. So there is a lot of cleaning. ) The magnetic drill bit can also catch ice cream and cannot be taken off the machine. You will need to bend over and work upwards in an uncomfortable position to reach the grooves. I used pin to gently scratch off trapped cream (or caked batter depending on how long I waited.)

    Let me start by saying I almost NEVER give anything a 5-star review. I bought this machine about six weeks ago. With the recent heat wave I finally decided to get it out of the box, and am I glad I did! I made a simple strawberry soft serve ice cream, and it was better than any strawberry ice cream I’ve ever had! I may never buy ice cream again.
    The only issue I have with this machine is that many of the recipes require you to use a blender or food processor to initially mix the ingredients. It would have been nice if the machine could do it all. You then pour the mixture into pint containers to freeze overnight. After that, you use this machine for a final mix and serve.

    Why did you pick this product vs others?:
    Absolute game changer when used with “Dole’s” Dole whip fruit powder, cheap, right around $1 for a pint of delicious dole whip just liked you’d buy at an ice cream place.
    Although the machine is incredible, the soft serve mechanic is very much a gimmick, unless soft serve is a must have for you when making ice cream, or if you host parties where you can flex a soft serve machine to all your friends, then its probably best to stick to Ninja’s older Swirl, I have not owned one, but I know the part of the machine that actually makes your ice cream is almost completely the same across both machines.
    $300-$350 is a bit steep just for a machine, but if you like ice cream and could see yourself eating it every day or other day, then you can easily get your money’s worth out of this machine.
