    I bought this set 3 and a half years ago. They were great for a short while. About a year ago (2.5yrs in use) the knife blades started breaking through the white plastic handle. One caused a cut and I figured it was may own fault. But now since then nearly all of the smaller knife blades have broke through the plastic handles. Also mine did get some rust spots closer to the end of the blade by the handle, but not very much. They were good while they lasted… but they don’t last.

    These knives are sharp and work well. Four of the chopping and cutting knives have cracks in the handles only after six months. We never put them in the dishwasher. They are hand wash only. The steak knives haven’t cracked yet. For the price I guess I’m somewhat not surprised but I don’t understand if I’m taking care of them like they say to in the instructions, why are the handles cracking?

    I purchased this knife set to replace my old set. These knives are solid and very well built. The wood block has a clean design and looks great sitting on my counter. I have not used all of the knives yet but wish it had more than one paring knife in the set. The one knife in the set I do not like is the utility knife. It has a serrated cutting edge. (Some people like this type of cutting edge but I do not.) I’m cutting food, not wood. This will probably be the last knife set I ever buy.

    I got my first set of these knives four years ago for my home kitchen, and I loved them so much that I bought another set for my RV. That set has held up beautifully for nearly two years now. While there are a few tiny cracks around the rivets, they still look amazing and show no signs of rust. None have fallen apart, either. I usually hand wash them, but they’ve accidentally gone through the dishwasher a few times and came out just fine!
