   This pan made the making of a true Tortilla Española so easy. I am one of “those people” that makes it with onions. This pan made that easy because I started the onions in one side and the potatoes in the other. When they were ready, I mixed the seasoned onions in with the beaten eggs and then layered the potatoes in with them. On med.-low heat with the cover on, I cooked the eggs, stirring them in. When it was time, I “locked” the top lid on and easily flipped the Tortilla without spilling a drop. After a few more minutes on the burner, I finished it in the oven at 350 until firm but not dry. It turned out fluffy and moist. The easiest one I’ve ever made and none of it ended up on the floor! I highly recommend this two-part pan whether using it for frittata or Tortilla Española.

   For the price point it is exactly what I wanted. It allows you to make frittata’s omelettes you name it without making a super mess in the kitchen when you flip. It cleans up easily you don’t even need oil. I can’t say how long it will hold up but for the price if I get a year out of it I’ll be OK

   Cooking an authentic Spanish tortilla for 2 is easy with this pan. Both pans heat evenly and are non-stick so cook the mixture nicely, no matter which one you use. For flipping, they assemble easily, fit together snugly (so no drip in the flip) and the handles aren’t so big that you need man hands. Not sure about long term durability but my overall experience with Cuisinart products has been good. Using this created an egg-cellent first Spanish tortilla. Very happy with this purchase so far!

   This double frittata pan is a total game changer in my kitchen. I used to struggle with flipping frittatas without making a mess, but this pan makes it completely effortless. The two interlocking pans seal perfectly, and nothing sticks thanks to the non-stick coating. Cleanup is a breeze.

   I like the way you can flip the pot to cook on the other side for pancakes or eggs. I try to keep the two pots separate on different burners to maintain same temperature before I put the pots together to flip the food the only minor thing that I think that should have been done the two pots should interlock so no food spillage could come out, When your cooking an omelet and it’s still soft some could leak out between the two pots but this is rare when it occurs.

    TIP: Start with the pan that has the smaller ring at the end and then attach the pan with the larger ring for the flip. It makes getting the top pan off after the flip easier and less mess. Also be sure to heat the second pan before putting them together for the flip. Last year I discovered the Spanish tortilla and my family loved them! I’ve made them about 7 times, 2 at a time; so 14 total…but all instructions on the internet I’ve seen show flipping the Spanish tortilla to cook the other side by holding a large plate over the frying pan, with is barely larger than a 9.5” frying pan, and has proven difficult! My daughter asked me to make them this week, and I didn’t hold the plate correctly and quick on the flip, and my Spanish tortilla went into the sink…(attached picture). That’s the 3rd one out of 14 that I’ve completely ruined and wasted!! Sooo frustrated, I got on cuisinartoutlets.com wondering if anyone makes something to help flip food like this, and to my surprise I found this product! It’s a Cuisinart! It’s well made with bolts through the pan and perfectly non-stick so no sticking to the top pan after the flip! Today I made two Spanish tortillas with these pans and flipping it was so easy, and safe! No worry about the plate slipping, or getting burned touching the hot pan, or having hot food hit my arm. These are a MUST when making Spanish tortillas!! Absolutely love this Cuisinart pan set!!

    Normally, I wouldn’t buy a product like this but I had a credit and I’m glad I did (so far). I’ve been making Frittata’s for decades using a dish but this pan makes it much quicker and I’m sure easier/neater for a beginner. The pans can be used separately, the non stick works great, so far.

    I have been making Spanish tortillas for several years now since a friend from Madrid taught me how: cooking 4 large cubed potatoes and 1/2 onion in oil until soft, draining oil, then combining with 8 eggs and seasoning. The tricky part has always been flipping the half-cooked tortilla to a plate, then sliding the half-cooked runny, oily mess back into the pan to cook the other side. With these two pans that interlock, it was so easy to flip and no mess! A great tip from another reviewer was to pre-heat the second pan so cooking the opposite side happens right away without waiting for the pan to warm up. Now I’ll probably make tortillas for my kids more often. Great snack for them to have after school.
