I have fought with my Samsung ice maker for literally 5 years. Always freezing up and needing to be manually defrosted about every 3-4 weeks. I have gone through every how to video and applied every fix suggested. Finally, I found this solution suggested. I swapped out the original tube with this one and so far I have not had any frost issues in the I’ve maker! Hallelujah!

The defrost was taking 3 to 4 cycles , no longer , 1 cycle and done . Success .i did read someone had to do some trimming on the main unit for the heater , so did i , side cutters just a little trim to make it sit in flush .
