Easy to change out did not like getting it installed only yo find out the wiring harness was not the correct one compatible with my refrigerator.

Works great. I used my previous ice makers cord since neither one that this new ice maker came with fit my fridge. Replaced the old ice maker with the new one switched off for 12 hours then turned it on and I had ice the next morning. Old ice maker was leaking small amounts of water into my ice bin and clumping all the ice together. I tried thawing it out and reinstalling multiple times but it never got better for long. This new maker was easy to install and I haven’t had any issues with it.

Works great but don’t toss the old unit before you install the new one. I had to use the wiring harness, hardware, connection to the water input and the sensor arm from the old unit. This is not a criticism, it was easy to do and intuitive if you have the old icemaker and take your time.

The wiring harness shown in the picture (which was not included in my order, but no big deal as you can reuse the original) connects the ice maker to the freezer and provides power and signals when to come on and when to turn off. The smaller male end of the harness plugs into the female wiring harness clip on the ice maker. Unfortunately my replacement ice maker did not include the female clip. It should have been in the little slot (circled in my picture). Without that clip, there is no way to attach the wiring harness and the unit is worthless. I thought maybe I was supposed to reuse the clip off of the original ice maker. Nope, it is soldered to the ice maker, as it should be. Very frustrating to discover the manufacturer missed this step in production after I already had my freezer taken apart.

My refrigerator was a 2012 with early version wire harness (small pin molineux connector), had to modify one of the included harnesses to fit. Doing a soldering job with heat shrink tubing, follow the wiring color code(connector wire positions have changed)and use the new 199° f ice tray heater sensor disconnect (in case your old one is toast) in the modified harness you are making. The ice maker fit perfectly with included lower front support plastic bracket. Had to cut out the dimpled water fill opening as instructed. I let the refrigerator run overnight with catch tray/dispenser installed, before dropping the ice demand bar down, in the morning, turning on the unit. It worked perfectly. I did “not” have to adjust the water fill volume…Fixed
