Have been talking about getting a Blackstone for years, but didn’t think a griddle alone would do the trick. When I saw a griddle and grill combo that was reasonably priced (that is also on wheels and can be transported and easily quick connects to the LP on our camper), this was a no-brainer! We’re really enjoying it so far and have cooked smash burgers, grilled corn and chicken, and made fried rice! All has turned out great!! The only cons were the manual was incorrect and had hubby doing rework and also the shipping – it took a complete US tour of the midwest, south and east coast before arriving to us in Southern CA. By then, the package looked like it was barely standing, so we were a little concerned. The ignitor was broken and unusable and front panel was dented with chipped paint that will likely rust. None of this inhibited our first 2 cookouts, and luckily, I called Blackstone and they are shipping me out replacement parts, at no charge. Great manufacturer customer service!!

The assembly directions are going to be interesting for those who don’t assemble things. That said, everything lined up.
Ours is very heavy duty… I like that. But we have not had a chance to actually use it yet. I am still cleaning it.
We purchased this through DIY2U on cuisinartoutlets.com as new…. However, the griddle has been used and at one point dropped. We are going to test it once I get it cleaned up. I didn’t expect to have to clean food bits off it before seasoning. The small corner dent does not stop it from fitting- just makes it a little more snug of a fit.
They suggest seasoning with vegetable oil… buy a small container of lard and use that. Veggie oil will make your griddle a nasty mess.
The grill was late getting to us and the box was torn up but the grill seems fine.

Total pain in the butt to put together you’ll need three people and an engineering degree. I’ve had mine for a month and in between the crappy instruction manual that’s literally giving you the wrong information and the crappy screws and threads I’m still not finished. Now finding out that the lids don’t even line up with where they’re supposed to go so it’s completely unusable because the lid frames hold the grill and griddle. I won’t ever be buying a black stone ever again after being a long time customer.

This griddle is is very nice. It had a couple of broken parts when I received it. I called customer service and they replaced them at no charge, and I received them the next day. This arrived with a broken/missed weld and is generally very poor quality. I went ahead and welded the grill box myself but it shouldn’t have passed QA with a blatent defect. The leg is already showing rust after 1 day. I’m going to get some black grill paint and chase the rust, I guess.
As others have stated, it’s very heavy for a traveling grill. Just started the seasoning process and it does seem to get hot quickly so here’s hoping it lasts at least a few years.
