This is the third Cuisinart 6 qt slow cooker we have purchased – we liked it so much, we bought it for our family members. The best part of this cooker is you don’t have to brown the meat in a separate pan, you can do it all in the cooker under the “brown” feature and then switch to “Slow Cook” by pressing a few buttons. Pretty convenient.
We think this is the latest version of this cooker because we noticed two features were different on this model: 1) it does NOT have a retractable cord, which we really liked in the older version, and 2) the cooking pan seems shallower than the previous version we bought even though they are the same quart size. Could be the difference in the pan material, which is much lighter.
All and all, we use this cooker at least two times a week. It’s great!

I too have had problems with the nonstick surface potting and coming loose. This is a perfect cooker in every other way. Is there a way for Cuisinart to issue a stainless steel replacement insert? I will try to co ti ue using with liners but because of the many functions I don’t think that’s going to work long run. Very disappointed.

I bought a second Cuisinart Multicooker MSC-600 in Stainless Steel because I loved the original one that I had worn out. The cook can brown meat in it and then start the slow cooker feature either on low or on high. I love to prepare soups in it.
