   These ‘funnels’ essentially allow you to fill the espresso water tank (or any other coffee maker for that matter) without having to move the machine or detach the water reservoir. Many of us have our espresso machines on a counter top tucked under a cabinet. That makes refilling the water reservoir a bit cumbersome. These funnels transport the filling location off to the side or front of the machine where it is more readily accessed. They work. My only problem with these particular ones is that they are made of rubber. I thought they were going to be hard plastic, which I would have liked better. But these things smell really strongly of new rubber, and I don’t know how long that smell will last. But I am not going to use them on the espresso machine until that smell goes away. If it ever does.

   I didn’t know something like this existed but it is surprisingly useful. This is perfect for anyone who has a their coffee machine under cabinets or hard to reach places. It makes refilling the water reservoir very easy and because it is silicone, it is easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

   This one has five stars for being exactly as described, but, frankly, I won’t be using it because it’s awkward. Here’s the intention of this device: You have an espresso machine with a back-mounted water tank. To fill the tank (which is needed quite a bit if you make two three-shot espressos every day!), you have to slide the entire machine forward so you can reach behind to the tank and pour water into it. This funnel-like device allows you to simply open the top of the tank and position the spout into it while the larger pouring area is placed on the top of the espresso machine. Then, you pour the water into the funnel and it travels down to the water tank in the back. That’s what it’s supposed to do but I found that it was harder for me to pour cleanly into the funnel than it is to pour into the larger open area of the water tank. I worried that if I should jiggle the water pitcher just slightly while pouring into the funnel, the water would spill all over the top of the espresso machine, potentially damaging its electronics. Sliding the espresso machine out and opening the water reservoir is just safer and easier for me than using this funnel. If you do use the funnel, know that you have two of them in the box (not sure how you’d wear one out, but…) and wash well to get the bit of factory smell/texture off the funnel.

   This weird looking rubber invention is a game-changer!! If you’ve ever wrestled with pulling your heavy espresso machine out from under cramped cabinets, then you need to buy this funnel right now. It’s a simple solution to a frustrating problem and has saved me countless minutes of effort. There’s no discernible odor nor any defects that I can see. It’s design is compact and fits on top of my MiiCoffee Apex machine perfectly. It easily folds up for storage or can be left in place on top of your machine without being too much of an eyesore.

   Not sure why I needed two, but I plan on giving one to my parents who also have a Breville Espresso Machine.

   I don’t see these things needing to be replaced if you use them as designed. I have one at work where it’s tucked under the shelf. By the time I get my coffee, I’m usually the one replacing the water. I used to get irrationally annoyed at having to always be the one to replace the water. I had to pull out the machine, pull at the water tank and fill up the water. It was a small task, but always made me frustrated that I felt like I was the only one doing it.

   This little headless dog has made that small problem a breeze. My co-workers love it too. We call it “Hydro”.

   Just make sure you inspect the water tank regularly to make sure that mold isn’t growing in the water tank. This little contraption can make you forget you need to do that.

   I love how smartly this product is designed. It’s soft rubber and easy to store on top of the tank. The lip makes it easy to pour into and fill your tank without removing it. Perfect product and you get two of them, one for a friend!

   sculptural looking black silicone, bendy and gets water to awkward spaces…countertop under cabinet, where it can be difficult to fill the water tank. This just fits on the top of my expresso machine ( not one of those recommended as optimal) .. and it does work .. you can adjust the angle to the most convenient for you. The thing i don’t like, which might only apply to my particular coffee machine, is that you can’t ‘see’ how full the tank is. you really need to measure the amount going in or prepare for over flow. I can imagine there may be other uses for this clever little device…such as objet d’art conversation piece, the best guess of what it is, wins the first cup of expresso.

   Your machine will need to be in the perfect location and honestly, using this just makes a mess. Much easier to remove the water bin and fill it up. Waste of money.

   This Espresso Machine Water Tank Quick Access Funnel is a game changer. Because of my cabinet being so low, my machine barely fits underneath it. So every time I needed to fill the water tank, I had to pull out the machine to reach the back. I now no longer need to pull out my machine with this item. It’s very easy to use and doesn’t spill out your water. This is definitely a need to have.
