   We’re trying to eliminate plastic in our lives and realized the traditional drip coffee maker has a lot of hot water running through plastic. That’s how we got here. And we LOVE the percolator. All metal. Makes good coffee. Highly recommend.

   Based on my experience I would not recommend. Sadly the joy did not last. The inside chamber, around the edge, the material is wearing off. I cleaned it several times thinking it was just coffee grains stuck but it kept getting worse. Also, the knob, I did not find anywhere in the product specifications whether it was plastic or glass, however it’s clear coating has become opaque. I also tried to clean it off with soap and twisting in a paper towel to the chamber, even tried baking soda and vinegar, after several attempts it is still Burt opaque.

   Decided to add a percolator to our collection of coffee makers I personally was tired of the k-cups and the nespresso pods and ready for just a regular brew coffee. My grandparents only used percolators and I decided to give it a try and very glad I did, the coffee is so much better than the other fancy machines. I purchased a grinder and have been buying fresh roasted beans from our local roasters and it makes the most wonderful coffee. The pot itself is very nice and appears to be all stainless and brews a nice hot cup of joe and brews pretty quickly and lights up green when coffee is done percolating. It is functioning as expected and hope it last as the coffee taste amazing.

   Love this percolator. I’m not a fan of drip coffee and the does not disappoint. Coffee is always delicious and really hot. Easy to clean and store. Will never get an automatic drip again!

   After only using this coffee pot for four months the handle came off. Was pouring coffee and almost was
   burnt as the coffee was hot. Contacted seller who said return time was past, would not help as was a third party seller.
   Contacted maker and have been waiting two weeks for them to get back to me. Poor customer service all around. Liked the coffee maker but not after having this trouble.

    A very well made coffee maker. However, after brewing, the coffee is not very hot. No. I am not one of those people who likes coffee scalding hot. But the coffee maker I purchased requires that I place it in the microwave for about 40 seconds to get it steaming, otherwise the little bit of cream I use makes it even cooler. Makes great tasting coffee though, and fast.

    I have found that Cuisinart is a trusted quality products company. My old Cuisinart coffee percolator bit the dust after many many years. It made great coffee. It’s a bit pricy so tried others. One lasted 4 months and bit the dust!!! Others made awful coffee. So purchased another cuisinart and great coffee again!!! You get what you pay for!!! Extra cost so worth it. Love it!

    this is the first percolator coffee maker I have ever owned….my older daughter caked it my “nostalgia” coffee pot……. I remember percolators from when I was a kid at home….until this , I have always used drip makers of several brands over the last 50+ years….but it works well and I enjoy the coffee…MY ONLY complaint is that I wish Cuisinart had made it with a proper on/off switch instead of a cord plugin in style Addendum….becoming a bit disappointed in the build quality…often I have to wiggle the cord about to get it to begin working…..I probably will have to replace it with another brand at some point

    Found a glass shard in the coffee pot and couldn’t figure it out until I realized the glass ring in the lid was decomposing and breaking apart into the coffee pot. Scary design flaw. We had only used this item half a dozen times.

    I could not wait to get my percolator. I have been wanting to go back to the old style for many years. I have tried using this twice thinking that maybe I was having a learning curve both times it turned out horrible. Both cups of coffee were full of coffee grinds in the bottom of my coffee cup, and the coffee was extremely weak. It was also very noisy and shook so badly. I thought it would fall off the countertop. It definitely does not have the good flavor that my mother‘s old-fashioned percolator had. I believe she had something called West Bend, which I don’t even think they make anymore, and there was absolutely no plastic in that percolator. I will be sending this back. I bought this one because of the lack of plastic it had in it. But the lid is made of aluminum, which is not good for us and the glass ball is actually made of plastic so all the hot coffee goes up into that plastic, which is what I’m trying to get away from. I will be returning it this week. Would love to find an old-fashioned percolator made with the steel body and glass domes. That actually makes good coffee and does not have the grinds falling into the coffee water.
