   My coffee maker suddenly broke so I read several consumer reports and this model was in most of them if not all of them, ranked No. 1 via one report from the official “Consumer Reports” brand.

   I was intrigued by the notion of no coffee pot. I thought it was a really nice-looking machine. But in theory, I felt like there would be more cleaning to do because the coffee is stored inside the machine in a reservoir, and I assumed it would be tricky to clean that out every day.

   I decided to just give it a shot. It arrived and right away, I thought it looked a lot more impressive than I’d expected. It’s a very sharp looking machine. Also, it keeps a pot of coffee hot longer than your typical coffee pot, in my experience. This is important to me as I drink coffee for hours after I wake up.

   First night, I set the coffee maker to brew a pot 10 minutes before I would be waking up. I got up that morning, came to my kitchen, viola. Fresh brewed coffee, no pot, just a convenient tab you press down like when you’re getting coffee in a hotel lobby.

   Have had it for about a week now. Cleaning the coffee filter out and the coffee reservoir (the chamber that holds the whole pot of coffee inside the machine, is much easier than I expected. Both the coffee filter and the coffee reservoir/chamber have convenient little handles, and they slide right out of there with ease. And then it’s really easy to rinse them.

   I can honestly say that so far, this coffee maker has been much better in general than I expected. It looks nicer than I expected, it’s easier to operate and clear than I anticipated, the coffee stays hotter and taste better than I’d expected.

   This is a well thought out coffeemaker. I love that it does not have a glass carafe to break, and that it fills one cup at a time neatly and cleanly. The little light over the cup is a huge help, especially on an early winter morning so I don’t overfill the cup. I have recommended this machine to several people and they love it as much as i do. I just wish there were a way to back up the programmable part so it isn’t necessary to do it all over each time I unplug the machine or the power goes out. Thanks for a great product!

   This coffee pot has been absolutely amazing and one of the best we’ve had to date. As someone who loves coffee, I expect a lot of my coffee pot and while it may not be the fanciest we have owned, Cuisinart delivers with this coffee pot. With its compact design and fairly inexpensive price tag, I have been very happy with this compact coffee pot in my relatively small kitchen. Best of all, it produces the best-tasting coffee rather quickly, allowing us to enjoy our morning coffee without much hassle. Along with being very durable, I love this coffee pot’s functionality, which allows me to enjoy a great cup of coffee without many breakable parts that require constant cleaning (I had glass carafes). It is very easy to program it and even delay brewing, making it a great coffee for any coffee lover!

   I am very satisfied with this coffee maker after having it for two weeks. I only have one small complaint. I like using the auto setting so my coffee is brewed first thing when I wake up in the morning, but with this coffee maker, I have to turn the knob every single time to start the function back to Auto. If I press and release coffee starts brewing.

   I have severe psoariatic arthritis in my hands. I was finding it hard to lift my insulated steel coffee pot due to weight. I was debating whether to spend the money on this. I found one on cuisinartoutlets.com Resale that was around $58. I was so happy! It said “like new”, “only box damage”. I thought this is great. When it arrived, no visible box damage. The coffeemaker sent to me was filthy with dirt, scratched, and had burnt on coffee, both in the brewing chamber, and caked around the heating element where coffee isn’t supposed to be. It didn’t have the paper or permanent filters as described. There was no manual either. I downloaded that myself. It took me 3 days to thoroughly clean it. That said, it’s working for now and I enjoy the hot coffee on demand. Not having to pick up the pot anymore is a plus. It brews faster than my old one did. The coffee tastes great. I really like Cuisinart products. I have a single serve Cuisinart also. I hope it holds up. I never purchased from cuisinartoutlets.com Resale before, so I guess buyer beware.

   First, this is a very good coffee maker. Coffee is flavorful and is kept hot in its dispensing reservoir. Having no carafe to wash is nice, however, the coffee reservoir tank has to be similarly cleaned (it is removable) and given all of its crevices, is actually harder to clean than a regular carafe. The polished metal heating pad at the bottom of the reservoir will stain within a few weeks of use (you can de-stain it by using some Barkeeper’s Friend cleaning powder but, again, this is more work than you’d have cleaning a regular glass carafe). And you absolutely must keep the spring-loaded pour spout clean to avoid drips. Another issue with the reservoir is that it has a catch that connects to the machine’s coffee “fuel gauge” so that you know how much coffee is left in the tank. This is a great feature, however, you can expect it to fail with 100% probability within 2-3 years of your purchase and, as far as I could tell, there is no way to fix it (I honestly don’t even know why it fails since it’s presumably a simple float mechanism). You can purchase a replacement reservoir right here on cuisinartoutlets.com for $45 (search for “Cuisinart Coffee Reservoir”). While this will fix the fuel gauge problem, depending on the price you paid for the coffee maker, the replacement reservoir can be as much as 50% of your original purchase cost. We purchased a replacement reservoir about 2 years after purchasing the coffee maker when the fuel gauge stopped working properly. The replacement actually lasted much longer than the original, around 6-7 years before it failed. At that point, I just bought another Cuisinart Coffee maker on sale because it was like getting a replacement reservoir for $45 plus an entirely new coffee maker for about that same price (gave away the original coffee maker with the wonky fuel gauge). We’re much more diligent about cleaning and drying the water and coffee reservoirs so that they don’t accumulate ugly scale. We never encountered a “clean” light issue as some reviews have mentioned here. Again, this is a very good coffee maker but be aware that it requires cleaning diligence and the coffee reservoir will almost certainly need to be replaced within a couple of years of your purchase if you want to have a working fuel gauge. The original Cuisinart coffee maker we purchased 12 years ago is essentially identical to the one we just purchased so Cuisinart, who are undoubtedly aware of the issue with the reservoir have made no attempt to address it. My advice would be to only buy this on sale (around $80-$90). Do not pay the regular price (about $120) as this machine is not worth that amount given the future additional costs that you will be paying.

    Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker Model: DCC-3000P1 I purchased my DCC-3000 coffeemaker on November 20, 2023. A number of years ago I own an earlier model of the Cuisinart ‘On Demand’ style coffeemaker. I prefer this style of coffee maker, no pot, but my earlier model failed (3 times) so I went back to the Coffee Pot style coffeemakers. A recent visit to a relative’s home introduced me to the latest Cuisinart On Demand model, so I decided to return to the On Demand style. After using the DCC-3000P1 for three weeks, I have been pleased with its operation and the coffee is great. I also like some of the improvements over my older model, one being the addition of a replaceable charcoal water filter pod that is in the water tank. Well, after looking at the water filter system, I realized it is absolutely worthless for filtering the water. The replaceable Filter Pod fits in a black plastic holder that is used to insert it into the 8 plastic post holder that is in the bottom of the water tank over the waters’ drain. The 8 posts hold the Filter Pod holder nearly a ¼” above the water drain, so water just flows around the filter to the drain. To filter the water, the water has to pass thru the filter, not around it. So the water tank filter design is flawed and does NOT filer the water. I attempted to call Cuisinart’s customer service to explain the filters design flaw but the girl I spoke to could only instruct me on how to install the filter, which I was capable of doing myself. My explanation to the customer service girl about the flaw in the system didn’t motivate her to pursue a solution. So, while I like the Coffeemaker style (on demand) and the ‘idea’ of a water filter system, the Cuisinart DCC-3000 filter system DOES NOT filter the water. So save your money on replacement water filter pods and don’t bother even using one them. I wish I could have talked to someone at Cuisinart about this design flaw and get a resolution, but the Customer Service ‘first responders’ seem to only be able to assist with basic user problems. R.     Our coffee maker broke, and based on recommendations from 2 friends, we decided to purchase this coffee maker. Great coffee maker!! We set it up the night before and wake up to steaming hot coffee. Unlike our old coffee maker that had a carafe, the reservoir in this coffee maker stores the coffee, keeps is steaming hot, and then dispenses it when you are ready. After coffee sits in a carafe for a while, it cools off and is not steaming. This coffee maker is a great buy. Very happy with our purchase.

    We’ve had some time to use it and now I can share my thoughts. Overall, I really like it, but it definitely has flaws. The unit needs to be a little bit higher to allow travel mugs to fit under the pour spout. I wish I could set the heater to stay on longer than 4 hours (I would prefer 8 hours). I think the filter stick is a silly design choice, just make a snap in holder for the filter I don’t need the long stick, which comes loose and floats around in the water tank sometimes. The coffee does taste great; the unit does a good job brewing. It is easy to clean, mostly, but I wish the warming plate was removable for even easier cleaning. The “ready tone” became extremely quiet, and we can no longer hear the beep when it’s done brewing. I love the “fuel gauge” so I can always know how much hot coffee remains. Overall, I’m happy with it.

    After going through at least 4 different brands of coffee makers, this IS THE ONE!
    I cannot begin to express my frustration with the number of “trash” coffee makers I have ordered and returned before finding this absolute GEM!
    This is a “carafe-less” unit that features some impressive capabilities, including programmable start and shut-off times.
    Very easy to clean and set up, and above all, it has excellent build quality!
    I have had a couple of bad experiences with another brand of carafeless makers; they leaked, and the taste of the coffee was NOT the greatest, not to mention that when it dispensed, the coffee was NEVER HOT. I usually had to stick my cup in the microwave for 30 seconds to get the coffee HOT! (See Hamilton Beach).
    This one is NOT that! Steaming HOT coffee every single brew, and the built-in warming timer keeps the coffee HOT until the unit shuts off.
    If you are looking for a new coffee maker, I cannot stress enough how wonderfully made and great this maker is.
    I am TRULY SATISFIED with this purchase, and would highly recommend it for purchase.
