Great Product. The non glass pot is keeps coffee warm almost overnight. Very good machine, sturdy. Not like a cheaper option. It’s a bit more, but you get what you pay for here. FIlter for water, Includes a metal filter to reuse over n over or you can use paper. Measuring cup, etc included. Makes great coffee. Gas a ” bold “, Option that works very well. The top down water drip method works very well as machine was built well. It’s not all solid metal but much more sturdy than most makers. I’ve owned 3 now over decades. Easy to clean.

Great cup of coffee every time but……after less than a year the carafe started holding water in its double wall design and leaking it onto the platform after washing. The platform is now a rusting wet mess. Also, not much after that the boiler well started to leak out the bottom of the unit. Seems like this will be a electrical shock hazard before long. Cuisinart has oversold its reputation with this cheaply designed and made unit. Don’t be fold by the shiny stainless-steel exterior. It is cheap junk or should I say expensive junk because it cost $100. Something as straightforward as a coffee maker should not fail after only one year out of the box. I am buying a Braun!

If this were a cheap coffee maker I wouldn’t complain but for the price and given the brand, there’s just no excuse for such poor design. When filling, due to the poor location of the fill openings water will spill unless you pour veeeery slowly. Then when coffee is made, the carafe makes a mess no matter how carefully you pour, dripping from the lid and ‘sprinkling’ from the spout. Finally, you’ll have to take the lid off the carafe to get the last cup of coffee out of it! Why, why, why, Cuisinart, did no one bother to actually TEST the prototype!?
