   I ordered the 12 cup carafe as a replacement carafe for my Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Duo. I knew going into this that this wouldn’t fit, and that was also the case here. However, I made sure to keep the lid from my Hamilton Beach carafe before tossing out the broken glass. I took off the lid of the Cuisinart and placed the old lid on top. It doesn’t snap into place since the design is different, but if you turn the lid at an angle it will sit flush. The old lid provided enough height to engage the spring and was able to successfully drip coffee without making a mess! Granted, it comes with trade offs. I have to be extra careful putting in or taking out the carafe since it’s not a perfect fit. I also have to ensure I take off the lid when pouring a cup of coffee or it will obviously fall off. It’s not the worst, but this will do for now. So, if you’re looking for a replacement carafe for your Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Duo AND kept the old lid, you may be in luck. That being said, the 14-cup Cuisinart carafe might fit? Not sure. If this carafe also breaks I’ll purchase the 14 cup version and see if that fits and then update this review

   THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR THE HAMILTON BEACH FLEXBREW. I bought this as a replacement for the Hamilton Flexbrew because the original carafe broke and Hamilton Beach, for some unknown reason $$$$$, does not make replacements, or at least they are not in stock at the time of this review. See uploaded pics. The carafe will fit the heating plate but will not reach the spring spout stop. Of course this can be rigged, but I am definitely not suggesting you try this. I’m only letting you know what I did (my laywer made me say that), because the way I rigged it, coffee will continue to pour, not drip, when the carafe is removed. You can take the spring stop completely out, but I thought it poured way too fast. GOTTA HAVE TIME FOR THOSE PRECIOUS GROUNDS TO SOAK! So, I clipped a piece of the spring to make a sort of key ring for the filter stop, SEE PIC. The flow is the most consistant with what it was before, but you still cannot remove the carafe or the coffee will continue to drip. This worked for me, at least until Hamilton comes out with a replacement. Thanks guys! Stay safe out there!

   I accidentally cracked my original carafe on the granite counter top so I shopped for another. I decided to spend the higher $35 for an OEM, original Cuisineart carafe , figuring no sense in taking a risk on lesser quality. To my surprise the quality was not as good as the original, and it did not have the nice stainless-steel finish on the handle. Maybe I should’ve taken a closer look at the listing, most of the photos ‘avoid’ showing you this side of the handle, probably for this reason. I probably should’ve saved my money for the “same” thing in the other listings. OEM usually make me happy, this one didn’t. For now, it’ll suffice to hold some coffee.

   Product was in great condition, however, it is not compatible with the DCC-1220BKSWM Cuisinart 12 Cup Coffeemaker from Walmart. The carafe was too big.

    This carafe is excellent, except for one thing…. It has a design flaw and tends to dribble/spill when pouring, unless you pour it very slowly (even then it still might dribble). If your a little handy and don’t mind making a mod to the removable cover, it’s fixable. You have to cut/grind off some of the excess plastic where the coffee pours out so that the pouring hole is bigger. I took off as much plastic as I dared, and now I can pour it at whatever speed I feel like without it dribbling and spilling onto the floor or counter. It’s hard to get a good picture, but I took some pics (top side & bottom side) of the modified cover to try and show what the pour opening looks like after the mod.

    I broke my carafe from cusinart DGB-800 last month and this part is out of stock at cusinart website for more than a month. At cusinart website they say that no other carafe is compatible with this cafeteria model. So, I bought this product used just to try it on. It fits perfectly. It’s not the same carafe, but it works well. If you have a DGB-800 it’s worth to try.
