This wok is a beautiful piece, but it does ask for some commitment. You’ll need a gas burner or proper wok ring to use it as intended. The seasoning process took a little time, but once done, the surface felt more natural with each use. Stir-fries now have that slight smoky edge I couldn’t quite get before. The round bottom traps sauces and keeps ingredients moving easily. It heats quickly and evenly, but you’ll want to stay attentive. Things can go from golden to burnt fast. If you enjoy hands-on cooking tools, this one pays you back in flavor.

Great wok from a reputable company. It’s heavy but top notch in material and craftmanship. I love how they allow for the handle to be changed out with a few screws. Allows for easy maintenance for a lifetime of use. The thing you really want to do when using this piece is to season the wok properly. You might be familiar with this if you owned any cast iron pans but it’s a little different for a wok but super simple. Heat it up super hot so it starts to darken, swirl in some oil, get some throwaway vegetables and cook until burned, toss the burnt vegetables, rinse out with some water and dry with a dry paper towel or hand towel over low heat and voila! a non stick seasoned wok. Make sure you keep contact with water at a minimum because this steel will rust. It’s a small downside for a wonderful classic style wok. Would recommend!

This wok was priced at $38 when I got it and I thought that was a great deal. I haven’t used it yet since I haven’t gone through the process of seasoning it and making a wood fire outdoors for it. It is extra large and very heavy duty. It should last a very very long time if taken care of. It comes with detailed instructions on how to use.

Now keep in mind that this Wok is not flat-bottomed so it will not be viable on an Electric or Induction stovetop without a “Wok Ring”.

Absolutely loving this wok so far… its clearly a quality-built product, with a decent heft to it. The only minor concern is that it doesn’t rest level on the stove because its weighed down on one side by the handle, so I find myself being mindful of it, though it hasn’t actually been a problem yet… Overall, I’m very happy with it…
