   Attractive and functional enough. Disappointed in the quality. The knives don’t seem to hold a sharp edge for very long. The scissors are the most disappointing. They rusted apart in about a year. It baffles me why you would make stainless steal scissors but use a plain steal rivet that can rust to hold it together. I had expected more from Cuisinart. Very disappointed. If you’re looking for an inexpensive set a short while, then you might consider this set , but plan buy another pair of scissors. If you’re looking for a long term investment, this is definitely not it. I would recommend spending a little more a different brand.

   We like the knives and the assortment that’s provided. It fits our basic needs very well and was a good replacement for a 30-year old Chicago Cutlery set we were replacing. The only downside was the wood block. It’s nice and looks good, but the angle is more vertical than we like. We have a relatively new house with cabinets at the typical height above our counter, but the knives needed to be pulled more up than forward to be removed. This often led to banging the back of your hand on the underside of the cabinet when the block was seated under the cabinets up against the backsplash. I added a small block of wood under the back of the holder to pitch it forward a bit and that has made it much more usable. So I am deducting a star for that slight design flaw. It could have been angled a bit more forward without causing any other issues. Depending on your intended placement, it may not even be an issue for you. Other than that, the block itself and the knives have worked well for us for the past few weeks since ordering. Recommended!

   Decent quality knife set. The only issue I see is the chef’s knife wasn’t ground correctly and his this weird notch in the middle. Other than that, I have no complaints.

   This item arrived packaged well and in a timely manner. The knives have been fine for what they are. The only complaints I have are that one of the rivets in the handle fell out and the block they are stored in isn’t perfect. One of the jokes for the knives was not cut all the way so the knife doesn’t slide in all of the way unless you can angle it perfectly. A

   I ordered a set of these knives for myself. I took them out of the box to find the handles were scratched and discolored, as thought they were 20 years old. I ordered a replacement and returned the original set. The replacement had the same issue.

    I received my set and to my suprise the bread knife was rusted. The rest of the knives were poor quality and flimsy. I returned the whole thing and decided to invest in a more expansive set.

    I’ve had this set for four years and these knives are great! They are very sharp and stay very sharp. I have yet to need to sharpen them. Has every type of knife the average person needs.     After doing quite a bit of research on knife sets under $100, I found this gem. I bought them on PrimeDay (They were on sale for $65 and I got $15 coupons due to prime day offers! Thus, I paid only $49.99! As for the knives, all you need is 3 main knives, the Chef knife, A serrated bread knife, and a pairing knife. This set has all of them and they are FORGED knives! This means one piece of steel was used to create the knife instead of two. That is just an amazing feature and for $49.99 it was the BEST bang for my buck! The cons, the steak knives are NOT forged knives, they have cast knives, (2 pieces put together) However, they are SHARP, and a good set. All in all, I was looking for a cheap set of knives and this proved to be an amazing starter set for the price. It honestly can’t be beaten. In fact, at $80 it is still a bargain. Therefore, I highly recommend this set of knives. Besides the steak knives, the rest of them are all forged knives so it is quite a good deal.

    The chef knife has good balance and good weight to it. When sharp it slices everything like butter so that is what you want in a knife! Pairing knife is good, and the serrated knife cuts bread like a champ! I highly recommend this set and I hope you enjoy it as well!

    These knives are sharp and look nice however they started showing brown spots on the blades after only a few washes. I wash my other knives in my dishwasher with no problems. I have had even cheaper knives in cost and supposed quality that didn’t do that until years later. Needless to say I am pretty disappointed in this Cuisinart set.

    We bought these knives a few months ago. I have waited to leave a comment to see if we had any rust or broken handle issues which we haven’t. The knives are quite sharp I have to cut up chicken for our dog weekly and they dice it up no problem. We make sure to hand wash and dry them right away. They clearly say they are not dishwasher safe. The steak knives are not serrated which takes a little getting uses to. Also the block is funny colored.
