   Every year, I tell myself I need to replace my roasting pan. Mainly because the rack part was peeling. I debated over several and settled on this one because the reviews were the best and I really wanted one with a rack that did not have that black coating. I was a bit surprised at how light this pan is compared to my other one, but it made it so much easier for me to take my turkey out of the oven, then pour the drippings in my pan.    This is a great roasting pan for the price. Just used it tonight for roast chicken and veggies. It’s easy to clean–still looks new after many roast dinners! It also fits a small to medium sized turkey. I haven’t used my big turkey pan since buying this one! Happy Roasting!

   If you want to make turkey gravy on the stovetop after the bird comes out of the oven, this is the model (MCP117-16BRP1) you want because this is the only Cuisinart roasting pan with a totally FLAT BOTTOM, without a weird ridged indented moat around the edge and a raised center area. (Unbox and check the pan which you receive it, by the way to be sure that you have indeed been sent the model with the flat bottom; I was accidentally sent the wrong model, a model with a moat or ridged edge, the first time I ordered.) This is a sturdy and heavy duty pan. I’m happy! This is replacing my disappointing biggest size All-Clad roaster, the one with the flared edge and the indented moat edge and raised center panel, which I hated; that uneven All-Clad bottom is no good for stirring and making stovetop gravy.

   The handle significantly enlarge the pan size to more than 16 inch. It cannot fit into my oven. And I was virtually impossible to return the item because the appointed carrier did not call me, or pick up the item. After days of half day continuous calling (I could never get through the line) and couple of emails sent with no reply, I finally got through the line today and the person told me that the tracking number is no longer valid and I have to request another tracking no. This really sucks!

   This is the latest update of the situation – cuisinartoutlets.com took action and passed my case to another carrier and the parcel was collected on time and the refunds is received. Thank you cuisinartoutlets.com and Cuisinart!

    I was a bit worried because I was buying this as “used.”
    We looked and could not find any evidence of usage nor any damage.
    In the oven already with a roast – it is perfect!
    The handles are riveted and large enough for a human hand with a potholder.
    It is sturdy and heavy but yet, not too heavy for ease in basting.

    Does the job! I’ve roasted 3 ducks (2 at once) and a chicken on this tray. It’s done a solid job of holding everything in/letting everything cook through. I’ve used it on the stovetop to heat up & make sauces with the drippings & I love that it’s dishwasher safe! I don’t feel as intimidated to break it out.
