After spending a lot of time online reading reviews it seemed that Cuisinart always seemed to get the nod as the “best value-for-the-money”. This is a solid piece for your kitchen that will outlive you – cleanup is simple and it’s dishwasher safe (it’s so fast and easy to clean I just scrub it by hand and towel-dry it).
Initially I had waffled back and forth between a round one and this oval version, but the oval makes it very easy to fit in larger beef roasts and birds.
10/10 would buy again – in fact, shortly after getting this huge one, we bought one a few sizes down for smaller meals.

Cream color is beautiful. While it is heavy, it’s a manageable size. I cooked a 4.8 lb chicken with vegetables in the oven the first night, made stock from the carcass in it the next morning and chicken and rice in it that night. Day three, I added store-bought chicken stock for soup. I finally washed the pan that night, it cleaned up easily. I couldn’t be happier with this pan. It’s as good as my $300 dutch oven and my $300 braiser from you-know-who. I wish I had bought this Cuisinart first. Could have saved $600.

Very nice piece, works great, bakes amazing bread! It weighs 13 lbs, you don’t want to drop this thing on a foot, not sure what people expect who claim it’s heavy, all cast iron is. That’s what makes it cook so well. But it’s built for life, and very nice looking.

I love it, love it!!! It’s beautiful red color, and very good quality. It came really well packaged though it did not arrive in the 2 day Prime window. I did not season, but have used many times with no problem. I made Chicken Masala and it turned out delish. It was great becasue everything cooked evenly and it was a one pot dinner. I hand washed it but could prob just as easily put it in dishwasher. My only complaint, is that it is soooo heavy, I did not realize how big it really is–but it’s a good thing too becasue you can cook a whole chicken in this easily with all the side trimmings. I also saw you can make bread in it, can’t wait to try that. I like it that it’s oval but it’s hard to fit on my circular range, though it still heats evenly. It goes from stove top to oven so easily, I just need my husbands help sometimes becasue I get paranoid that I might drop it. My other issue is I have a glass top stove that I struggle cooking with this on, with it being so big and oval, I have a hard time moving it around and not scratching the surface of my stove top. I am looking forward to growing my collection of other pieces.

If you’re looking for a good Dutch Oven at a reasonable price, this is a pretty good bet. I hunted high and low to find something made in North America or Europe, and just couldn’t find one at a price I was comfortable with (especially given I wasn’t sure how much I would end up using it).
So after conceding to a “Made in China” product, this is the one I went with. I’m getting a ton of use out of it – more than I had expected when I first purchased it. It’s replaced pots, pans and casserole dishes for any given meal and cleans up to look like new with a reasonable amount of effort (e.g., nothing burnt-on, no stains). Given how much I use it, I imagine I’l upgrade to something a bit more premium when (or if) this bites the dust.

I realize I got deal of year (Dec 22) for only $75 total for it. They are $150 or more now. The cast iron is heavy pot and lid. I find this fantastic made and Ceramic coating. I mention it’s heavy for those that may not be able to lift it easy. Not to say negative. It’s a beautiful color red! First time I made pot roast I was afraid I’d never get it clean. It practically wipes off with a few swishes under the water and brand new again. Now I cook way more in it than I thought. Even made a beer bread in it so you can bake anything in it. If you always wanted one of these cast iron pots (like me) you will be please you paid for the top brand.

Great Dutch oven. Use it a lot to bake bread. This thing is hefty and heavy. Which is perfect when using it on the stove and transferring to the oven.

Did lots of comparison research, this one came high on many lists for price/value. Have baked bread and made stew, both worked excellent. Was concerned that some recommended against the oval, but I found it works great in oven and on induction burner, didn’t notice any uneven cooking, and prefer the shape for bread and extra volume for stew in oval casserole.

I haven’t used the pot, however it’s very pretty! It’s sturdy and looks better in person, hope it lasts for a long time!
