   I was looking for a stainless steel pot to take the place of my aluminum one that I used to cook in because my wife has a neurological condition that it’s worsened by aluminum in her system. I’ll address some issues and concerns that I’ve read in other reviews for this pot. 1. As you can see from the picture the pot is convection friendly. 2. It did show small black spots at the water line on the first use. I must admit that more than likely I did not wash it by hand well enough before use. However it has performed flawlessly after I ran it in the dishwasher.

   It is a size pot I was looking for and great for cooking soups i make weekly. Follow the instructions for cooking…no high heat. Medium heat works really well with this pot.

   This pot is really well-designed. Just the right general-purpose size, shape and materials. Suited for ramen soups, Thai curries, fish frying, bacon and eggs, and much more. Neat, slim, flattened handles make handing a doddle. Heats up quickly placed on induction cooktop. Highly recommended!

   I’ve owned this product since September 2011. I use it almost every day and it still looks like I just bought it! It’s the perfect size for everyday cooking. I’ve used it for stir fry, beans and rice, pasta, ragu, soups and to sear meats. Since it’s stainless steel, it’s very easy to clean. Even with stuck-on food, it comes clean after an overnight soak with Dawn and a light scrubbing. It heats quickly and evenly, even on a hot plate. I highly recommend this pan! Trust me, you will use it more than any other pot or pan in your kitchen. **UPDATE September 2015** This pan is still going strong – 5 years in! I use it 1-2 times per week. There are no burn marks or stains even after all that use – see picture. I’ve also used this pan for deep frying and long slow simmers on a gas stove. Love it.

   The lid is NOT durable. It was dropped from waist-height and the shatter diameter was at least 12 feet. The picture is grainy because I had to stand so far away for safety. The glass continued to pop and shoot up into the air for several minutes afterwards as seen in the video at the bottom of the lid. It literally sounded like Rice Krispies cereal. It was the oddest thing. This is not a safe product.

   This is the pot after boiling water with white vinegar, then also I did pan fry chicken after, there was white cast after wash, (forgot to take photo) then I just rinse it with vinegar and that’s what it look like very shiny, the pot was ended light for it size, but I like it perfect for pasta,soup, and other dishes good for family 3 or 4, hope it last longer hoping they make multiclad same as this size,

    To think I almost didn’t buy this pot! After reading some of the reviews in which people mentioned that it was too lightweight, I almost didn’t buy it. I decided to give it a try, and I absolutely love it! First of all, it’s just lovely on the stove. I appreciate the rounded bottom, which does make it super easy to scrape contents into another container. As far as how heavy it is—if you’re used to using the Cuisinart chef’s series, this will not be a disappointment at all. I find it to be a good and comfortable weight. It’s not a bit too light. The lid is heavy. The pot can be used in oven up to 450 degrees, but the lid can only be used up to 350. This size is perfect to have around for family meals. Great for pasta, soups, etc., and is a perfect size for a large chicken. Clean up is easy. If you do have anything to stick to the bottom, soaking with hot water and some dish soap for 10-15 minutes is usually plenty to easily wipe out the cooked-on food. If you do this, you will never need to use any abrasive pads to clean. This pot would make an excellent gift for anyone who loves to cook for a crowd.

    I have 2 of these pots that I use primarily for making fudge at Christmas time. The one I am doing the review on was purchased as a gift for my DIL for her birthday. These are the only pots that I can make a double batch of fudge and not worry about it sticking. I do have to stir occasionally, but not continuously. I highly recommend this pot.
