   I had to change my review. Do not buy this item unless you can get a full warranty with it. After 3 months they literally broke apart in pieces the rivet that held the two blades together broke, the spring came out and now it is worthless or useless. And I’ve only had it for 3 months. Normally I love Cuisinart and all its products but I’m so disappointed in this one. Look at the pictures you’ll see why

   Pros: Scissors are good as you would expect from reputable brand. Cons: Holder barely sticks to the fridge, even after adding another magnet. Scissors doesn’t sit well in the holder.

   Very loose blades. They don’t tighten up until they are more than 80 percent closed, only leaving a half inch or so at the tip that gets a clean cut. When opened the handles literally jiggle and won’t make a clean cut. Not what I’d expect from brand new kitchen shears.

   There was a problem with the scissors when it arrived. Edge had a notch which made it difficult to cut.
   After I raised a concern, this product was promptly taken back by cuisinartoutlets.com team with full refund.

    I like the size of these scissors. I like that they are VERY sharp. It’s ‘on me’ that I didn’t pay attention to the fact that they do not come apart for cleaning. I’ll be purchasing another pair of ‘cooking’ scissors – and these can do everything else. Good scissors – just not what I wanted.

    While these do an excellent job cutting, I find them incredibly uncomfortable to hold. I have really thin fingers (I seriously wear a size 4 ring and am 32 years old), yet I still find the red ones too small to comfortably hold onto. The black ones are larger, so they’re a bit better, but still not really comfortable.. Like I mentioned, they cut well but I would avoid if you plan on using them for long periods of time because your fingers will get sore.

    I use these for spatchcocking (look it up) turkeys and chickens. They work well and are much safer than trying to use a knife. And if you’ve never spatchcocked a turkey before grilling or smoking it, try it, you won’t be disappointed.

    I bought stainless hoping they would last. I’ve used about 6 times for various easy tasks around the kitchen. Today they broke cutting a plastic wrap on meat package. Have always hand washed and dried well. And of course I’m just outside the return window…..
