We already had one for 10 years. One of the kids left the lid out on the stove while the over was on and it warped the top, which is made of plastic with a stainless steel appearance. You will see after about 5 years the stainless steel papers will begin to fleck and peel away. At least if you use yours as much as we have used ours. We bought the new one and put that lid on the old one and it worked perfectly.
One time a couple years ago one of the kids put something on the lid that blocked the steam holes. When the pressure built up and there was nowhere to escape it has some built in 3rd pressure seal where it will lift and let a gush of steam out of the lid rather than blowing up. We didn’t know about it until we heard a loud rush of air in the kitchen. We rushed in to see it was covered and we uncovered it so the steam could escape like normal. I wouldn’t recommend testing this method, but, it’s nice to know there are back ups to the back ups.
This is a great quality product that will last for many years to come. (other than the fake stainless steel on the lid)

I have had 4 electric pressure cooker so far. I usually have them until they no longer work. The last one was an InstaPot. I didn’t like it. I had to change it before it broke because food kept getting stuck to it. I found this one, and I had a previous good experience with cusinart. I was hesitant because of some of the reviews, but after using it for two weeks, I can say I love it. It is easy to use, to clean, and to store. Excellent product.

Let me start by saying that I am no stranger to pressure cookers and I take extremely good care of all my appliances. I’ve only owned this newer Cuisinart a little over a month. It is supposed to be the “New and Improved” model replacing the older model Cuisinart. it may be new, but It is NOT improved! I have had my older Cuisinart for over 10 years with no issues. It still has the original stickers on it and it is still working great. Reluctantly, I purchased this newer version from cuisinartoutlets.com using gift cards from my children wanting to update to the newer cooker. What a mistake that was! This newer version after 2 uses started spewing liquid and steam out of every crevice severely burning my hand and arm. The first time I used it I found it hard to clean since you cannot detach the lid on the newer model. It is built cheaper and lid is very flimsy. Why a company would take a perfect product and decide one day to change it in the name of “New and improved” actually making it worse is beyond me! Thankfully cuisinartoutlets.com said they will issue a refund since I’ve only had it 38 days. My advice would be to steer clear of this “New and Improved” pressure cooker.

Ok first off, I Love, Love, Love this Cooker! I will agree with some of the other posters that the manual is the best there is, and it is a little confusing learning how the controls work, but nothing too difficult to get especially when the Internet is your friend.
In all this is a wonderful kitchen tool and I don’t know why I held off so many years in buying one. It is amazing. It is only my mother and my self to cook for but I truly wish I had had this multicooker when I had kids at home and was working.
The Cuisinart CPC-900 6-Quart High Multicooker Pressure Cooker, Stainless Steel is an excellent tool and is really versatile. We love everything we have cooked in it and are often looking up recipes to try in it!
You really can’t go wrong with purchasing one! Good luck, hope this helps! 🙂

Got this to make bone broth and it does an excellent job. So I decided to make my dogs topper food as well. I had been making it in the crock pot but this got the job done in 30 minutes and I was able to make a bigger batch to freeze. There is a cookbook that has some good looking recipes. For those wanting to make bone broth, use the low setting for 2 hours after roasting the bones in an oven. Using this shorter cooking time makes less histamine in the bone broth as compared to the longer cooking times with stove or crock pots.
