Bought this for my outside griddle and it’s absolutely great. Helps greatly in not over heating the griddle when making breakfast for the family.

Use it 20 times a day. Love it. I’m a new wood stove owner n this tool is key to learning!!

We use this mainly for the Blackstone but it works great on the Treager and regular oven.

Uses two AA batteries. I use it a few times a day to monitor cold spots in my house. I replace the batteries every 3 weeks on average. It’s best to remove the batteries when not in use. Accuracy is decent but not perfect. LCD has some handy features and the display lights up well. Serves its purpose well.

Does what it says it does

Returning because it will work with my grill, but doesn’t work for my carbon steel pan or stainless. Once you read the manual, you see this caveat. (TL;DR: Surface of carbon steel read 165, got leidenfrost effect of water droplet dancing around- meaning it’s well above 212. Added butter. Zapped and got 270. The emissivity ratio is a stock 0.95 on this, and carbon steel or stainless needs a different ratio).

No marca bien la temperatura. No lo recomiendo en absoluto.

It works as advertised and read well. It can work from some distance and is very easy to read and adjust. a must for a griller

The batteries get trained after a few weeks even with minimal utilization. It seems like the circuit is always on regardless on whether it looks turned on or if you are using it.
