   This got to be the worst coffee pot I ever used. As soon as you pour the coffee from this pot it leaks big drips from under the pour lip, all over the place. There is a plastic ring on top that connects to the steel body. The pour spout is part of it. Man this lousy pot just makes me mad. I wish I would of return it, but didn’t want to hassle shipping it back, at least it wasn’t that much. I’ve bought hundreds of items from cuisinartoutlets.com and this is the only thing that didn’t work. I don’t blame cuisinartoutlets.com for this. But all in all I guess I’ve got a pretty good track record for everything else. So people don’t buy this item.

   Perfect size. Like the fact its metal. Allows it to be heated with hot water before use. Fits perfectly on my coffee maker.

   I hope that Cuisinart takes notice of the many comments making it clear that this carafe LEAKS when you pour the coffee. I have had my pot with carafe for 20 years – YES 20 years – and it has leaked from the very beginning. I am finally really fed up!
   So I thought I would just buy a replacement carafe to avoid the annoying leaks but – oh no – it seems that this a flaw even in the replacement carafe that has never been fixed. Thank you for all the reviews that tell me that this is an ongoing problem. (no point in replacing the carafe)

   I love my four cup Cuisinart coffemaker as it works so well and is the right amount of coffee for us. So I have tolerated the dripping of freshwater when filling the tank with the carafe and the dripping of hot coffee when pouring a cup from the carafe. It has leaked essentially since the day it was bought. Well this new one doesn’t leak! Cuisinart has redesigned the lid and the the spout and solved one of life’s little problems.

   This started leaking at the seam between the red plastic and the stainless steel after 2 uses. My thought is that this was a return for that reason, even though it was in Cuisinart packaging. Always a risk. I threw it away.
