I haven’t done much with this product yet, but what I have done was made much more efficiently and easily with it!
I made hummus – the best hummus ever. It was so easy and fast. Everything works exactly as it should and clean up was easy. I also made taco meat. I love tacos, but hate when the meat is in big clumps and the seasoning is not evenly distributed throughout. I cooked the hamburger, then put it in the processor with the seasoning and pulsed it a few times. I then put the meat back in the pan, added some liquid and let it simmer for a while. PERFECT tacos.
So far, this has been an awesome purchase for me. Everything works; it’s easy and the recipes in the manual look fantastic – can’t wait to try them out.

Customer satisfaction is not guaranteed. In fact, buyer beware if you request a refund 4 days after the sunset clause for returns because the basket seizes up on the motor and using a hammer to loosen it simply isn’t right. The quality of the beautiful Cuisinart brand of old is gone. My 24 year old Cuisinart sent in sorrow to the local Landfill is turning in its grave. $200 represents a lot to a senior living on SS, but life is tough, isn’t it? Yep. Don’t be old and dumb at the same time – who cares?

I had this exact same food processor for many many years and just loved it. A few weeks ago I plugged it in and it started spinning (without me touching the buttons) and it destroyed all the accessories inside and shattered the plastic bowl (it is recommended to store the accessories inside the food processor as the blades are very sharp). I think it had something to do with the safety feature. Anyway, after that fiasco I couldn’t find anything as robust as this particular model, so I went looking for the same one. I found this one, to my delight, and had it sent over. It is exactly what I wanted, but I didn’t realize this is a refurbished machine..! It looked otherwise completely new, so I’m not entirely sure what makes it refurbished. I can get refurbished machines for cheaper elsewhere! Anyway, overall it’s just fine and I will enjoy using it for many years.

A powerful, smooth running, sturdy machine. I’ve used it about 10 times and am very pleased. My previous processor I’d had for about 35 years, and the difference between that Sunbeam and a Cuisinart was remarkable. It chopped onions nicely (not pulverizing them) and minced garlic well where my Sunbeam couldn’t. I’ve only made hummus once with it, and realize I shouldn’t have pulverized it a bit more as there were some solid chunks left in it. But it does well with beans and nuts. I grated parmesan and mozzarella. I should have left the mozzarella in the freezer longer as it left it more squished pieces than grated. I had a real hard time deciding on this machine as there were so many negative reviews. You figure a % are cranks, % are because they got lemons and a % were unrealistic expectations, but there were way too many negative ones. How could some give it 5 Stars and others say it’s junk?? So I ended researching it in Consumer Reports and they were so favorable that I got it and am very happy. If it lasts another 20 years, I’ll be happy. So many electronic machines are made so poorly nowadays, if they last 5 years you’re lucky. I was willing to pay more hoping I’ll get 20-30 years out of this. It’s really so much more environmentally responsible to make machines that last. Hope so. I’ll circle back if it doesn’t.

The bowl has a hole in the middle where food spills inside to the motor, / body of the machine. Also the blade liquified the food in the lower part of the bowl while large pieces still exist in the upper part. The power is not equally distributed to the contents.

I chose this model after doing a lot of online research and talking with friends who own a Cuisinart. I love it! It fits perfectly on my counter below my old-fashioned cupboards, so I can just let it live there. I love the heavy base and powerful motor – more powerful than the 11-cup model. It does everything I need, which is essentially to slice, shred, and chop veggies. It is simple to operate, and easy to clean. I am probably one of the few people around who does not own a dishwasher. It is still simple to clean. I could not be happier with my choice. No complaints whatsoever. A fine dependable product.

This is compact, but still handles 9 cups. Sturdy and does the job. Putting the blades on the first few times takes a little getting used to, but it is easy peasy.
