   *NOTE: I am NOT being PAID to write this review! Yes, there are cheaper ones out there…. Over the past few years, I have used a few different brands of cork removers, and this one… Is The BEST! It not only looks great on your counter, but it packs a serious punch! The Power of the Electric Motor, combined with the Excellent Battery Life, and NO control buttons to press, makes this unit Far Superior to all others! You simply place the unit on top of the bottle, hold the bottle tightly, gently press down onto the cork. Automatically, it will start the extraction process, and in a few seconds, the cork is out of the bottle!! Then, after a 2 second delay, the cork will Remove itself from the unit! That’s it. No buttons to press! So far, I have removed 5 corks and the battery still shows Full charge! Compared to the other cork removers I have had, this one has a Heavy-Duty Electric Motor and High Capacity Battery! Also included with the unit, is a rubber vacuum seal bottle top to preserve the freshness until being opened again, a bottle foil wrap remover, and an aerator. These accessories are Self-Stored right on the unit itself! No need for a separate base to hold everything! What a Great Design! With a name like Cuisinart, it should give many years of great service! As you can tell, I am very happy with this cork remover. “You Get What You Pay For.” ** UPDATE** This CUISINART unit is a BEAST! It has opened 40 bottles and the battery charge is showing one blue light out of 3 still shining brightly! It can probably open 10 more!! WOW!

   I bought this item because a friend had one and I loved it. At first it worked terrific and then after a couple months, it appeared that the corkscrew tip had broken off or wasn’t as sharp so I wasn’t able to open bottles with it. It still had charge so I know that wasn’t the problem. I called Cuisinart and they were very helpful and actually replaced it free of charge. Fast forward to today. I am encountering another problem with this one. It is penetrating the cork but will not go through the cork all the way. I don’t think the tip has broken off like the first one but it isn’t opening the bottles anymore. I’m going to give it a full charge just in case it doesn’t have enough power but I don’t think that’s it. I’m super disappointed and am going to have to call Cuisinart again and hope for the best. This is only 6 months old. Don’t waste your money!

   I had an electric wine opener from another brand that I believe used nickel cadmium battery, and the battery life dramatically shortened after one year use or so, so I got this as a replacement. The lithium rechargeable battery seemed to last quite long on a single charge, and it takes out the wine corks relatively quickly compared to the old electric opener I had. I also liked that it has vacuum suction function to reduce oxidation of wine in bottles that were already open. Overall a very good value for its functionality

   I had 3 rabbits in the past and this one is way better. The first time I used it I could not believe how fast it pulled out the cork. I still have one rabbit left at my other house but will be replacing that one for one of these. I just hope it continues to work well. The rabbits all died after a few months and now barely pull out a cork. One just barely gets started and fails to pull the cork. I would definitely recommend the Cuisnart over the rabbit 100%.

    I got this for Christmas and my mother was so jealous that I had to get her one!

    It’s easy, compact and has many items to use on it. Highly suggest for a newer wine lover or to save space!
