I’ve been using Cuisinarts since the late 70s. You cannot hurt yourself with one. Can’t be done. But I ended up in the ER after trying to use this for the first time – and I largely blame the machine. See that front ledge that sticks out of the front of the machine? There’s no weight from the motor there. The center of gravity is off-center. When I picked this up from a bottom shelf in a lower cupboard, the device wasn’t balanced the way i was expecting (remember, been using these since ’75) because of the weird housing shape. It tumbled out of my hand and the slicing blade flew through the right side of my right hand, inflicting a deep laceration that required 5 stiches and 2 weeks to close.
Besides this totally unnecessary “shelf” to put the control buttons, for reasons that defy explanation, in order to use the bowl and the spout and the lid, you have to unlock the parts by twisting LEFT – not right. Again, been using these things for 40 years and they ALL opened to the left. This is change for change’s sake – not change because the new way is better. Just different. It’s a great way to alienate your long term customers.

Al ser reacondicionado tenía mis dudas sobre su estado, pero ha funcionado perfectamente bien.

I have used this product to grate cheese and to slice vegetables. I wish the slicer blade cut thicker slices. So far, it is working as expected. I bought it to replace a Cuisinart that was gifted to me 26 years ago! I did replace a few parts, but this time I found it more practical to get a new one. This says “renewed” it is supposed to be new, I thought, so Idon’t know what is up with that. The handle is a little loose, which I am concerned about, so maybe it is renewed. I did purchase the extended warrantie, si I hope the handle is covered if it breaks! The bowl and the lid are hard for me to turn. The parts are easier to wash than the old model I had. The old bowl wasn’t smo0oth inside. This one is. That makes it easier to get food out! If this one lasts even half as long, I will be thrilled!

I recently decided that the humongous 14-Cup KitchenAid food processor was a bit too much for my needs. I sold it and purchased this and couldn’t be happier. I needed something for basic pasta dough, shredding raw veggies for coleslaw, and any number of light-to-medium duty tasks in my kitchen. This handles everything (so far) perfectly. In fact, I’ve found that the Cuisinart is almost a permanent resident on the countertop instead of in the cabinet where I had intended it to go. This food processor is perfect for someone who wants to be a minimalist, whereas my KitchenAid had several different blades, disks, bowls, storage caddies, etc. It was great but too much for me and as a result, I didn’t use it that much. This one, on the other hand, is ideal for the everyday things that I need to do. The fact that the refurbished is roughly half the price of brand new makes this a must-buy. Recommended.

Excelente opción por el precio. Si no lo dice, no podrías saber que está reacondicionado.

Other than the packaging, it is hard to believe this product is refurbished. The packaging also very commercial. All accessories are brand new, no sign of use. Only problem is the “Voltage”. As per product spec it says “220 Volt” and “950 Watt” but actually it is 120 volt 550 watt which is perfect for Canada.

I chose to take a chance on a refurbished model knowing I had 90 days to return. I was not disappointed. The packaging was all branded Cuisinart and pieces wrapped in new plastic. It works like a magician. I have decent knife skills but this just blows me out of the water. It slices zucchini, cherry tomatoes (yes, cherry tomatoes), carrots, celery, onions perfectly. The adjustable blade allows for customization on slice sizing. I’ve also been using the main ‘chopping’ blade to make perfect basil pesto and Zhoug sauce. The options are endless and, as a self proclaimed foodie, I really should have bought one of these 20 years ago. Delish!

I ordered this with an open mind. Whilst I wanted a functional product I had decided I didn’t mind receiving something that had some minor blemishes or wear. I had been looking on used sites and the prices were no different. After unpacking with pristine packaging find the unit and all accessories no different from a new unit. I’ve since used it for some various baking recipes, including pizza dough. All perfect. I’m extremely happy with my processor and the price and am happy to recommend it to others

While I haven’t used it yet, it arrived a bit earlier than expected and it looks like it is brand new. Being a ‘Renewed’ product I expected to see some indication of previous use, wear/tear, etc., but not so. I may update this review in the future if need be, but so far, I’m pleased with this purchase.
