   The cylinder over rectangle industrial design of this Cuisinart food processor looks outdated in the age of the iPhone. However, its powerful motor drives its cutting blades with the quiet confidence and effortless refinement of a luxury car. Though it looks the part on the set of Back to the Future, Cuisinart clearly hasn’t been resting on its laurels. Every piece in the kit has been carefully considered and built with quality: plastic parts are reinforced with steel where they rub, the latch on the cylinder is metal and parts fit together with satisfying precision. When it runs empty, the only sound it makes is of the blade cutting through air. This machine is so well-balanced that it doesn’t vibrate or rattle and the powerful motor is completely silent. If there is any reason to celebrate American engineering incrementally improved over the past 50+ years, this is it. This machine sits next to my KitchenAid stand mixer, both iconic kitchenware for decades, and both could well outlast one lifetime of use.

   This was the blessing I didn’t know that I needed. I never dreamed I would use this tool as often as I do. I have mastered pesto’s, pasta’s, sauces, you name it! My very first endeavor was making pasta, which I was very intimidated by. It made it so easy! We love a good filet and asparagus and the best sauce for that is hollandaise sauce, and this food processor made it a breeze, and it is so delicious! My favorite thing to do is to puree garlic and herbs with my food processor and freeze it in small silicone molds to keep on hand to use while cooking. The garlic grinds so well it is almost a paste and works perfectly for my needs. I have loaded this little machine down and I have never worried about overloading it. She is a chopping, slicing, grinding, blending powerhouse! You can throw everything into the dishwasher which makes clean up a breeze, or just quickly wash it to re-use immediately. I am almost tempted to buy a second unit to keep in storage just as a backup incase anything ever happens to this one.

   Me gusto mucho el procesador, la base es bastante pesada para mover facilmente, supongo que es para estabilidad del aparato, funciona bien, aunque hay que usarla no tan llena, porque luego quedan algunos trozos grande, yo los aparto y los proceso despues aparte para evitar sobreprocesar todo lo demás. Los rayadores aun no los he usado porque tengo otro procesador para eso, aunque me hubiera gustado que tuviera una pieza para almacenar los discos y toda esa parte de los rayadores cuando no se usan, sin embargo son piezas que se venden por separado y a un precio no tan economico. En si el aparato tiene buena pinta, fácil de usar y lavar, y hasta el momento no he tenido problemas, he picado carne, zanahorias, betabel (que son duros), entre otras cosas y todo ha funcionado bien.

   We downgraded from a 14-cup model after its bowl wore out. This 11-cup version is less powerful and less sturdy but comes with all of the blades most people want, at a much lower price. Of course, its liquid capacity is lower: making 2 cups of salsa works but 3 cups are too much. Its motor is adequate but not as fast as the bigger model. On the plus side, it’s a bit smaller and easier to store, comes with three slicing disks and a chopping blade, a spatula plus an additional lid for when you are only chopping (not using a feed tube). Overall, it’s hard to beat this entire package, unless you must have that bigger, stronger, sturdier but significantly higher cost 14-cup model.

   This food processor is gorgeous and very useful . I gave it to my husband for Father’s Day. He loves the look and the quality. He said the ease of operation was great. It will help in his cooking abilities, especially when he makes dough. The size is very impressive. We expected it to be super large, but it is the size of most large food processors. Plus the copper color was perfect.

    My wife purchased the 11 cup version after returning a processor bought from another store. That food processor was noisy and had so many parts to clean (5 including a gasket). This food processor is sturdy, quiet, powerful and easy to clean. It has a nifty additional cover that is not so tall and can be used for everything you make except when using the slicer blades which makes it very compact to store in tight spaces. The price was excellent at the time she purchased it $129.99.
