   My biggest concerns with a smaller system like this is the ease of use, the control of the meat, and the ease of cleaning. In all 3 categories, this slicer performed well. The one item to be aware of is that if you put steady pressure on the meat as you’re trimming, the width of the cut will slowly change. I handled that by holding the adjusting knob while slicing. If there’s any other item to be aware of it would be that when you clean the slicer, it’s tough to some of the movable areas that set the slicer depth.

   Beyond that, I’d recommend this highly. It’s very easy to remove the blade and all the washable parts. Re-installation is also a breeze, and it works great time after time.

   I’ve been going to buy one of these slicers for years. I researched, watched videos and read reviews before finally clicking ‘Purchase’. I’ve been using it for about an hour now and it’s so much better than what I was expecting after reading so many other reviews. No, it’s not that loud. No louder than my electric knife. I’ve sliced a medium steak into shaved steak. I’m sure I could get thinner if I chilled it a little. I sliced a boneless turkey breast that I roasted last night. Nice and thin like the deli. I also did some ham ends that I bought at the deli. I was able to get several more nice thin slices than the pro deli machine could do. I then did a pepper and onion very thin. Worked so well. You need to go easy and let the machine do the slicing. Don’t push it against the fence or force it into the blade. It slices like a hot knife through butter. Honestly. It slides smoothly and evenly. I chose this one because it adjusts to about the thickness of an average slice of bread. I have no doubt that it would do a great job on bread. Probably not hot fresh bread out of the oven. Bread just does not slice fresh out of the oven. It’s really easy to wipe down clean. The carriage piece slants away allowing you to clean pieces out of there. Great machine that I got for under $50 with my Prime credit card points. Very satisfied!

   Rioght out of the box, I first washed it then started to slice my summer sausage, tomatopes, and vidalia onions. What a breeze it was to finally find something that would make it very easy to slice them so perfectly.

    Solid Zero star! A pure garbage!! DON’T BUY!!! This is my second unit—my first one failed after just a few uses. The seller replaced it with a brand new unit, but it turned out to be the same worthless junk. When trying to slice pork belly or ham, the slicer gives off a strange, plasticky smell and eventually starts smoking. After slowly slicing just 2 pounds of meat, the cog stopped spinning due to a burned-out drive gear. I even replaced the cog myself, but the same issue keeps happening over and over. Pro Food Slicer? Maybe—if you’re only slicing cucumbers or bread. Otherwise, avoid this thing at all costs!

    I only use it for slicing bread. It’s not very heavy or sturdy, but it’s sharp and gets the job done. Cutting is simple and takes a minute for an entire loaf. I’m not sure how it would handle a hard cheese or tougher meat, but for my needs it’s ok. It does move a bit around the countertop as you’re using it, so I need to keep it steady with one hand. I think for the money it was worth it – I got a “used like new” model and it really was like new with no signs of use and all stickers intact, but at almost 50% off. I’m not sure if I’d like it as much if I had paid full price.

    This is a review on cuisinartoutlets.com and the slicer itself. First cuisinartoutlets.com. I ordered this slicer on February 6, 2024 and I received it on February 8, 2024. So cuisinartoutlets.com gets five stars. As far as the slicer goes. I voted only one other slicer prior to buying this. It was an older slicer which required you to hold the power button in while slicing, which made it very difficult to use. This slicer has an on off switch so you don’t have to use one of your hands to hold down the on button to use it. For this reason it is so much easier to use than my older model. I used it for the first time on February 9, 2024 and I was amazed by how easy it is to use. I sliced some ham and turkey and they came out beautifully. And then slice some apples and I was amazed how nice they were.If I could give it a six star I would. While I cannot give a rating for the longevity of this slicer, I can’t wait to try it on other things.
