   I don’t know if mine is defective but in order for it to work you have to hold down the top button. This makes using it difficult for me. This product annoys me.

   I bought it for making mayonnaise. But it works for many other purposes. It works best if the blade is covered at least 1.5 inches before turning it on. Since it’s metal I only use it in plastic jars. When I used it in a glass wide mouth canning jar it chipped the glass rim and I had to discard the contents. It’s great to only need to clean the blade arm instead of using a chopper with a big container.

   Item has been bought because Cup from similar old model got few small cracks after many years of using. New model with additional speed and spring-loaded knife works even better. Just power/rotation’s speed on the higher mode is little less than in old model, but final reason is the same or even better because of design improvement. Good choice.

   I had the older version of this cuisinart for years. This one is not as “solid” and does not seem to have the same power of the earlier version. I know safety features are important, but I do not like that you have to hold down two buttons to operate it. I have arthritis and that is quite uncomfortable. It does the job, but I’m disappointed in the quality.

    Not super powerful, can’t mix thick dough, weird safety button position making the use of it not super convenient. Guess it’s good enough for the price

    Everyone should own this tool if they enjoy cooking. It has made cooking soup and sauces so much easier, the attachments that come with it are also very useful. It’s very powerful, not too heavy and the way the handle is designed won’t strain your hand when operating it. Very easy to clean, if you rinse it as soon as you are done using it, it gets a bit difficult under the blade if you leave it without rinsing instantly. I haven’t had it for long to see if it will last and not break but it seems to be well made and not flimsy.

    I hate the fact that you have to hold and press the 2 buttons, if you’re planning to use it regularly like me, it will be a bit tiring for your hands but it does the job. Other than that I like it and it’s good quality.
