   I had a big glass container blender that I gave away. It took up too much storage space for my infrequent use and was heavy getting in and out of my cabinet. This blender is lightweight but very powerful. It ground up ice cubes into a fine slush in about 10 seconds. There were no chunks left, like my old blender did. The size of the container is plenty big enough and because it is plastic the whole unit is lightweight and easy for me to store. It also leaves a much smaller footprint so it is also easy to keep on my kitchen counter under my overhead cabinets. I was a little skeptical about the quality of this blender being made with plastic, but took a chance because it was a reputable brand. I am so glad I did because I love this blender.

   This Cuisinart is simply a good blender that does most of what is needed in everyday use. It is a full one quart (32oz) blending jar that is made out of plastic that makes it lightweight for easy, safe handling. Nowhere in the description could I find that it claimed to be glass. With a 600 watt motor it is not a beast for power but is plenty for 99 percent of what I need. I have a 1400 watt, 64 oz with 12 speed auto shutdown beast that weighs ten pounds for anything else and am lucky if I use it once a month. Getting back to basic again it has just a simple two button operation with one for pulse and the other blending. The blend jar is shorter and wider than others making it easy to fit under the cabinets with space to spare. The lid has a strong rubber seal so no leaks or accidental spilling. Cleanup is a breeze, just fill ⅔ full with water and a drop of dish soap and blend and rinse. For even more cleaning or if anything gets stuck in the blades the whole assembly unscrews out. This little blender proves that you don’t always need beastly power when most is done easier, safer and with better results. For me now this little Cuisinart Soho blender has a permanent space on my counter.

   My favorite part of this blender is the size, not too small, and not too large. The motor is so much more powerful than similar basic blenders and the 36-ounce capacity is a perfect size if you are making one drink or multiple. This is not a do-it-all type of blender as it only has one speed, but 90% of what I do in a blender only needs one speed. The blades are sharp to cut through frozen fruit and also perfect for a blender hollandaise. It is lightweight and easy to store in our cabinets.

   I had a hard time cleaning this by hand but it’s amazing and I love it. It blends basically anything that I need. It has a good amount of power and is quite durable(I’ve only dropped it in the sink). The value for the quality is worth it.

   This product does not have any glass, as advertised, it is made of very cheap plastic, and the motor can’t be very powerful considering it’s feather light. This is very disappointing, as I have always trusted cuisinart products and they have always lasted me a long time. I did not bother to test it out as I was scared it would break in the process. Im really not one to write reviews, but I do not want anyone else to fall victim to the aesthetic design of this product.

    Very well designed and sleek looking. It is also very durable. You can use it on frozen things and it will still work well. It was easy to clean up, and disassemble and reassemble. Lives up to the brand!
