   But the price is very low.
   At first it worked great, but about a week in it started getting inconsistent results. One side would toast more than the other, sometimes it toasts darker, sometimes hardly at all.
   I like it, but next time I spend a little more for a better quality toaster

   Overall, this is a great toaster! I love the Cuisinart line of products and have many, many of their items in my kitchen tool box.
   PROS:
   —crumb tray is super easy to empty and keep clean
   —electrical cord fits snugly in lower area of toaster and it’s easy to push it back into the area
   —toasts different items to perfection, with simple, easy to use push-buttons/knobs
   CONS:
   —it is so bulky and takes up so much space; not suitable to leave out on countertop

   The con of it’s size is a shame, because if it were smaller, I would leave it on the counter, as it is very minimalist and elegant.

   If a toaster can be elegant, this one is. It’s sleek and simple and doesn’t crowd the counter. I especially like the way the controls look when they’re lit up. While the visuals are very simple, the toaster still has all the functions you need: Defrost, bagel, seven settings, and a bar that lets you lift the bread to check whether it’s ready. The lift is high enough to let you remove the bread if you want to stop the process, but if you want to continue toasting, just push the bar back down. This product also works well for both toast and bagels. I don’t understand reviews that complain that the bread isn’t toasted evenly enough, or that both sides don’t match. It’s just a piece of toast, not a gourmet side dish. This appliance gets most of the slice toasted on both sides. It toasts according the the setting you choose and the final product is crunchy. That’s all I need. Finally, I really like Cuisinart products. I’ve used them before. They usually include a three-year warranty and have done so here. However, their products last forever. I had a Cuisinart food processor that lasted 10 years. I highly recommend this toaster.

   This is a great toaster. The buttons stay lit after using until the toaster cools down. You have to push down on the lever twice when you want to toast. I think that is a safety feature.

   It has all the features and quality you’d expect from a name brand but unfortunately, this one doesn’t toast evenly. My example toasted much hotter on the inside coils. All the coils appeared to be glowing at the same brightness so I don’t know what the issue is. It has great cord storage and the Cancel button is right on top for easy access. The crumb tray is located in front as well. A feature I’ve never seen before is that the lever can be lifted during a cycle to inspect the toasting progress without canceling and restarting. Cool! It has a defrost/toast cycle that the instructions claim will defrost then toast a frozen item. I tried that with frozen waffles with mixed results. It still toasted more on the inside coils. There was no mention in the instructions to run a few cycles first to burn off any manufacturing residue, but I highly recommend doing that. I’ve been using this for a week and have yet to get an evenly toasted slice of bread or frozen waffle. I expected much more from Cuisinart. UPDATE: I read many of the reviews saying how evenly this toasted bread and figured I got a bad one. I exchanged it as defective. The replacement toaster is only marginally better. Still toasting very unevenly and burning the side facing the inner coils. Regardless of the brand name, made in China is still made in China

   1 star because aesthetically it is nice, except for the black cord. However, this has to be the worst toaster I’ve ever owned. Problems started one month in. It only starts 30% of the time whe the lever is pushed down. Your toast just sits in there, not toasting. When it does work, it doesn’t pop up when it’s done. I must’ve got a dud?

    We bought this through Sam’s, not via cuisinartoutlets.com. Nevertheless, the quality of this appliance as with many others these days is so poor. My 25yo Krups is beyond comparison. Krups was big for us, we wanted something smaller; but we have to return this flimzy plastiky thing back and go back to a trusted Krups. Another picture is of the crums tray of Cuisinart vs Krups. One is solid and another one is paper thin and bendy. And don’t get me started on how Cuisinart burns one edge of my toast while another edge is just about warm. Be warned – this toaster is crap. Do not buy!

    Super cute. Works great!!! Buuut make sure you first pretend to heat up something like 2 times at least & have a window open and fans running and something to waft with because it has to rid the off gas which smells horrendous. It’s like anything new you want to let it offgas but this will throw you if you’re not ready for it.
