This device is easy to use, easy to clean and overall I would recommend it. I am the owner of a veggety manual spiralizer which hurts my hand after spirilizing a few zucchini. I also own a very fancy food processor with a spiralizer feature which I love, but I recognize it’s not practical to assemble unless and clean unless I will use it a lot. I wanted to give my mom a gift as she’s always admiring the spiralized veggies I make, but I knew neither of the options I have were right for her. This Cuisinart device made sense for her because it has all the practical aspects of a hand held device, such as no assembly and easy to clean, but it has a crank which makes it extremely easy to use and will not hurt your hands. My mom and I just used it to prepare zucchini in the three different thicknesses achievable (thick, think julienne and thin julienne) AND potatoes! We made the potatoes into thin julienne, sprayed the with olive oil and tossed them in the air fryer for this really cute little nests of crunchy potato. She loved it and will use it frequently.

All I want to do is spiralize zucchini. I couldn’t do it. I did manage to make a chain of sweet potato medallions, but that wasn’t what I wanted. Maybe I’ll try again, but as for now, I give up; I can give up zucchini, too. At least it was easy to clean; the spiralizer I had before made spirals, but to clean it, I had to soak it for 3 days and pick pieces of zucchini out with a turkey skewer.

I don’t know what’s wrong with the people who left negative reviews. This machine is so simple and unlike the horizontal machines doesn’t drop the food. Nice clean spirals and easy to clean.
