Got this to replace our Hamilton Beach electric steamer. Wanted to go with a glass container to avoid heat and plastic. But the design of the HB is better than the Cuisinart. First, the steam comes from the top, why? steam literally rises – all it does is drench your food from the top. Second, the HB had two trays you could stack, this one just has a steel trivet.

Excellent product! Very easy to use. Very convenient to use. Handy small appliance at kitchen. Healthy cooking too. Many ways to use it. 1) Cook veggies and food directly on the tray, and serve food with glass container 2) put pieces parchment paper on tray then put food on the parchment paper if you would like to have some juices 3) put food in small containers and placing those containers on tray. For myself, I will put quinoa/ rice/ Millet/noodle/ dumplings in one container, veggies in one container , and fishes, or eggs or meats in one container… 15 to 20 minutes, healthy meal is done. The steam comes from top to cook the food. I love it so much. Glass container. Stainless steel tray. I also use cuisinart toaster with airfry and dehydrate. I use these two appliances the most for everyday simple healthy quick meal.
