   I recently purchased this waffle maker, but unfortunately, the batter leaks out from the bottom every time I use it (as shown in the photo). Also, the waffles stick to the plates and are very difficult to remove. I would like to return it !

   Pretty much perfect! The pour opening is a little small so you will make a small mess. Waffles cooked perfect every time!

   No hay mucho que decir. Es bonita y práctica. Pero si eres como yo que te encanta experimentar con nuevas recetas , bueno, para eso no es la ideal. En ese caso es mejor una horizontal , por lo que algunas mezclas son más espesas que otras, y en la vertical habrá mezclas que no se acomoden bien . Pero la wafflera llega con un recetario y si sigues al pide de la letra quedan unos waffles hermoso, perfectos. Si quieres una wafflera bonita y funcional es de las mejores opciones. Debo decir que se ve MUY pero muy resistente , hoy en día es difícil encontrar cosas que no se vean y sean casi desechables unos usos y listo, a la basura, no, está wafflera es de los pocos de PRECIO BAJO pero con la MEJOR calidad. Es todo lo que hay que decir.

   Quedé sorprendida de lo fácil que es usar está wafflera. Vale cada peso. La taza medidora que incluye ayuda mucho y es justo la medida con la receta de waffles clásicos que viene en el recetario. Las instrucciones son claras y sencillas de seguir. Los waffles quedaron deliciosos en el primer intento, no hubo necesidad de desechar ninguno. Siempre quise una wafflera y que bueno que esta fue la primera que probé! No se pega absolutamente nada, no es necesario engrasar ni nada por el estilo. Es fácil de limpiar y ocupa poco espacio 👌

   Follow the directions and you will be making perfect waffles every time. You will spill batter on the iron trying to pour it into the funnel. You will be tempted to add more batter than the one scoop (Don’t). I wish the power cable were a bit longer (about 2 feet longer) it would make it easier to use in places not right next to an electrical outlet. The perfect scoop measure will cook the waffle properly. if you use less than a scoop, it will not fill the iron and it will not cook the perfect waffle. If you do like me and think one scoop is not enough and add more, it will slowly rise into the funnel and you have time to scoop some of this out before it makes a bigger mess. The iron beeps when at ready temperature. The green light turns off when you add the batter. When the waffle is ready based on the temperature setting it will beep to let you know it is done. Open the iron, remove your perfect waffle, close the iron and pour in another scoop.

   This vertical waffle maker has restored my love of waffles! Soooo much less mess and guesswork if you follow directions. It does NOT leak batter! Do not regret purchasing one second. Smells a little weird/hot in first heat up. But that goes away after the first waffle. Maybe discard your first waffle but after that first one the smell went away. This thing makes super tasty waffles to perfection. My favorite setting is 3 or 4. I gave up on waffles until I tried this one purely because of the mess the traditional waffle irons always seemed to make. Would buy this one again if needed and recommend to anyone who wants to make tasty homemade Belgian style waffles. Thank you Cusinart for another wonderful product!

    I wanted a Belgian waffle maker and this is the first one I’ve had. Very happy with my purchase. Review say it comes with a recipe book but it does not. I thought it was missing it and cuisinartoutlets.com swapped it with another one and it still wasn’t in it so I don’t know why people are saying it comes with a recipe book and it does not. But that’s why they have the internet. The plates stay clean and are non-stick. When I first used it I thought oh no I forgot to put oil on the plates. It didn’t need it the waffles come right off. The only thing I can criticize is where the batter is poured into the rim is made of plastic so of course the batter cakes onto this and it’s hard to clean off. I guess maybe I can put a little oil on this to make it easier. Very happy with the purchase and makes great waffles.

    Absolutely Fantastic. Tried it out this morning for breakfast and they turned out great.
    Deep square pockets/thick and crisp (if your recipe is right) and easy to use. without any over flow.
    Non stick coating is fab. No need to spray/rub any fat on the surface. Let’s you know when they’re ready.I used it on the No-4 setting as i like waffles more browned and they came out perfect. It comes with a good recipe book which i still need to go through. If you’re a true waffle fan then i highly recommend this machine.Have tried atleast 7-8 brands and acc. to me it’s the best one and is at par with the Ninja vertical one too. I prefer a round shape so that’s why i bought this. it’s a personal choice. Go for it. you will
    not be disappointed.

    This waffle maker is very flawed. The batter (even very thin) gets stuck at the top and does not get distributed well to the rest of the iron. The batter funnel at the top that gets cooked does not cook fully so the raw-ish waffle part has to get cut off. It is interesting that they provide a measuring cup and do not tell you how much batter needs to go in. It is definitely not one cup. And if you add another cup, it gets stuck at the funnel top. A workaround is to wobble the hot waffle iron in order to distribute the batter and try to push down the batter at the top with a small spatula. I don’t think warbling/shaking a hot waffle iron is the best or safest plan. Finally, the waffle iron does cook the waffle very well (on the #3 setting of darkness). But what a pain to get it there. Of course the size is good, nonstick aspect is great, and heat level is perfect. The vertical part of it is not good. Nice idea, but bad execution.

    We have shopped around for a while before finally deciding on this Cuisinart waffle maker. We personally liked the practicality of the up-right cooking position and this just made more sense to us compared to other models. Very glad we made this choice!! So I will get started for the review. First I have tried three different batters and we have never had any problems with any overflow like I have seen in other pictures. The key we have found is to first use the plastic batter scoop that comes with the waffle maker. Fill the scoop all they way up with batter only leaving around 1/4 of an inch of space available from the top. This has been the key for us on all different waffle mixes used so far. The waffle maker is very easy to use and my 8 year old loves to help. She would actually prefer to have me just move out of the way so she can maker her own waffle, as she enjoys the ease of use as well. Highly recommend and you can’t mess this up since it is designed to perfection. We have also found that between 3 and 4 on the dial has given us the best results in our opinion. The beeps and emitting green/red light from the unit make this waffle maker almost completely impossible to mess up while cooking. The only issue I found is that the waffle maker does not have a shut off switch. If you are in a hurry and forget to unplug the cord I could easily see one accidentally leaving this unit on before departing for work or just a busy morning in general. Still give 5 stars and highly recommend!!

    This is my first waffle machine, and I’m very happy with it! Very easy to use, very easy to clean and it never sticks to the surface. However, during the first few times there was a horrible smell no matter what I did I couldn’t get rid of the smell. After cleaning it with warm water and soap, I made waffles at least 6-7 times that I had to dump into the garbage bin because of the smell. If there was a solution and I didn’t know it, that’s on me, but I washed it multiple times and heated it without the batter in it just to get rid of the smell. Now that we have been using it for months, the smell is gone and we are very happy about it if you buy this just find a way to get rid of the smell in a different way.

    Their is a slight learning curve to this waffle maker. We used the Belgian waffle mix from Winn Dixie. First try I could not get the waffles completely round. I use milk instead of water when making these so now I add 1/2 cup more than called for which makes the batter a bit runnier. I also move from side to side when pouring into the slot at the top. Once I changed these 2 things I have prefect waffles every single time. I use the #5 setting so they are a darker brown and crispy. I also bought some butter flavored cooking spray (this will leak out the bottom) so make sure you set your maker on a round pan or something so you don’t have a big mess. I spray top and bottom plate make 2 waffles then spray again. Never have had and issue of it sticking when done this way. If you choose to use chocolate chips grab the mini ones they work so much better!

    Kids love it, I love it so a win win for our family!
