   This waffle iron is fantastic! I use it every weekend. It heats up quickly, offers multiple settings to customize doneness, and the waffles are cooked perfectly every time. And, the nonstick surface works perfectly—no sticking, just a quick wipe to clean up drips. The only downside is that it doesn’t fold up, so it takes up a bit more counter or cabinet space.    We have been looking for a waffle maker since our old one was no longer working. Since this one had good reviews, we decided to purchase it. We have used it a few times and we absolutely love it. I love that it makes double the waffles and it’s so easy to use and extremely easy to clean up. They recommend to spray with oil before use but I didn’t want oil to build up on it so I decided not to spray anything on it since it’s nonstick and it works great. The waffles don’t stick at all and come out very easy. Plus, we won’t have any oil build up on it.

   Not really non-stick AND messier than ever despite the addition of a small plate! Need a LOT of oil or spray to make the waffle somewhat retrievable in one piece! Clean up is OILY! Disappointed!! Given the price, expected way more. It’s no better than the same model we have owned for a number of years. We end up making small waffles on our little DASH single waffle maker – quick, non-stick and perfect results!

    Frankly, spending $100 on yet another kitchen gadget was a stretch for us. My wife doesn’t (Didn’t!) even like Belgium waffles. I did it anyway, because stuff, and things. Holy wow Batman, we are GLAD we did! The very first waffle off this thing (Krustez mix) was perfect. EVERYTHING since has been great and really easy. I’ve done three kinds of waffles, two kinds of sandwiches, and home fries on this thing…. so far. All came out great. This morning Woman asked for a ‘healthy’ breakfast. I am making her a whole-wheat, whole-grain, bacon/pecan waffle with a sunny side egg on top. With butter, that is only 400 calories of yummyness. When we first got this, it was waffle like objects for three days straight. I’ve had to cut that back to once a week out of sanity. But, the kids request waffles, and their friends come over and request waffles, so…..

    Works as advertised, although there is some discrepancy in the doneness of the cooked waffles from one side to the other. Got used to that pretty quickly, and it generally produces great waffles fairly quickly. It is a bear to clean, because you have to let it cool and then try to wipe the channels in the grids with folded paper towels, but the nonstick coating works very well overall. Bulky to store in a kitchen cabinet.

    If you’re like me, and you stay at a lot of mid-level hotels in the Marriott chain, then you know the DIY waffles they offer in the complimentary breakfast area. This is the cheap at-home version of the machine you use at the hotel. And along with a can of Carbon’s Golden Malted Waffle and Pancake Flour, this machine will generate the very same not-so-bad waffles you get at Fairfield Inn – two at a time! And if you have your own waffle recipe, then I’m sure it’ll do great with that as well. Regarding the image I’ve uploaded. The arrow points to a potential design shortcoming of this particular model. The heat control is a slider, rather than a rotary knob. I owned another one of these machines several years ago, and it had a rotary knob. For some reason, they changed it to a slider with a wide open slot for food to fall in to. I worry that waffle batter will fall into the slot, and then who knows what happens. Presumably the batter will cause a short circuit, and cook into waffle inside the slot. I removed one star for this. This machine comes with a metal catch tray that’s easily removed to clean, so when you inevitably overfill it, the drippings will be easy to deal with.

    I LOVE this waffle maker! I have the upright model and hated how messy it got when batter dripped all over trying to aim for the spout on top. Other than that and the raw “waffle loaf” that was created on top of a waffle if you poured a bit too much in, I thought it worked pretty well. This double flip waffle maker is a dream! It’s super easy to clean and takes half the time to make waffles for a group. Great quality and finally I don’t dread making waffles.
