Let met start off by saying that this thing does a phenomenal job!! I was looking for a way to recreate the wood-fired pizza oven effect at home, and this fits the bill perfectly. Assembly is a little involved, and it takes up a fair bit of space when not in use. However, once set up and up to temperature, it cooks a mean pizza. As others have said, you’re gonna have a really hard time with just charcoal; I use charcoal to pre-heat everything, then pull the lid off and add a bunch of wood chunks when I’m ready to cook. Once the wood catches, the temperature gets nice and hot and she’s ready to rock. The kit does include a very solid pizza stone and a large stainless pizza peel for rotating and removing your pizza. The only thing missing, which does make things a bit difficult, is a wooden pizza peel. I had a really hard time transferring the raw sticky dough from my prep table into the oven without one. After ruining a couple of pizzas doing this, I found a wooden peel on cuisinartoutlets.com and never looked back. The thin metal one is the only way to go for removing the cooked pizza off of the stone, but it’s very difficult to transfer the raw pizza with anything but the wood peel. You need both to really make it work.
Easy to use and does a great job! Strongly recommend!

I try to cook pretty much everything outside. I put this on my Weber kettle grill. It is a great way to get a kinda brick oven pizza. Assembly was pretty straightforward and didn’t take too long. It fit perfectly on my grill. I used it the next night to make four pizzas. Being my first time using it, I can say they turned out pretty good. I did learn a few things in the process. First, definitely use more charcoal than you would when normally grilling. You’ll need the heat. I wish I had used a bit more. I would recommend lump charcoal as it gets much hotter for longer. Second, make sure your pizzas are appropriately sized. I got a little carried away and one hung off the edge of the stone. A 10-12” pizza is about right. Third, don’t get too many toppings. Lighter is definitely better for this style of pizza. I’ll be tweaking things just a bit next time. The only negative I can think of is the charcoal fence is pretty flimsy. I might try to use something else that’s a little more sturdy. I’m also going to try a cobbler, baked beans and anything else I can think of. Between this, the grill itself, the griddle and a couple burners in my outdoor kitchen I really have no need to ever cook inside again!

Converts my Weber charcoal grill into a pizza oven to make delicious pizzas! What’s not to love? It’s sturdy, and best of all provides easy access to add more wood/charcoal to keep the temperature up if making multiple pies. I used a different brand’s pizza oven converter before this one, and it was a nightmare having to take it apart – while blaring hot – to add more fuel. The charcoal fence is a little flimsy, but it works. The unit is easy enough to assemble. Recommended!

This was my first time making pizza and I used the PizzaQue kit to test it out. I was able to get the kit for $59.99 after it had dropped in price from $79.99. This is a fair price for the product as it doesn’t fit perfectly on my grill but it gets the job done. I don’t think I would have bought the product if it was higher that $80.
The product is very sturdy with thick steel construction and all the parts are quality. The pizza stone feels very substantial and seems like it will last over time. The pizza peel included is also very sturdy and doesn’t bend at all with the weight of the pizza on it. The only bad thing in this kit is the thin charcoal fence that’s included. I didn’t even bother using it because I knew I was going to have issues with it. The charcoal baskets that come with my Weber kettle grill work really well and I just pushed them to the back of the grill similar to the charcoal fence configuration.
It was easy to put together and the cooking process was straightforward. I really like this product and am excited to use it for years to come.
