   I am so very, very, very disjointed. here i am drowning under mediocre novels and you keep writing utter gold. I honestly hate that the book ended. I absolutely love, love what your doing with all the support character’s. I actually teared up about the Nightmare and its story. I want Borant and there whole system….[REDACTED] Thank you for your continued Support of Borant and all of its Affiliates, Kil,kill,kill!

   Definitely start with book 1; you could read this stand alone but the plot builds with each book. I keep thinking “he can’t keep this going” but I’m up to book 3 and these books are fantastic!!! Warning, if you are offended by swear words, gross video-game-type melee attacks and general snark, this is not the series for you. This is one of my favorite book series – excellent character development, twisting plot lines, serious suspense and loads of hilarity (glad I bought the whole series on kindle). Makes me want to have a beer with the author (and I hate beer.). A friend of mine bought the audible version and told me I am missing out on the incredible narrator; he let me listen to some – he’s right, the narrator is awesome!

   This series is amazing! The world building has be done so well that it’s easy to immerse into it! Also has some witty and wonderful characters.

   Lots of exciting action, puzzles and a little bit of mystery. The characters are well rounded and growing more interesting with each book. I love donut, she’s developing into a hilarious character. Carl continues to surprise us all with gritty determination and insane ideas, some of them actually work! The team is growing and the levels are getting more interesting and dangerous. The sub plot of the borant corporation running the whole dungeon plus the entire faction wars is crazy. It’s bad enough the earth has been destroyed the population forced into a kill or be killed dungeon games how, but layered into it all is deep political and galactic infighting. I can’t stop reading these books. They are so fun. Nice job Matt!

   I’ve read three books in this series in the span of about a week, and I’m already wanting to grab the fourth. Constant action, fun characters, interesting premise and just enough hints at something bigger.

   I know I know, the trains. I just didn’t let myself get hung up on them. This is actually my second time reading the series, that’s how much I like it. The characters in these books are very much alive. I’m rooting for them. Donut gets me laughing and sometimes crying. This second time I actually bought the books. I read them on kindle unlimited first time. But I really want to own them. Anyway, I’m not going into why I love the series so much. They’re funny, sad, exciting, stressful, but mostly, Dinnaman is great at making his characters human. These were recommended to me by a non- gamer and a gamer. And I’ve recommended them. Wonderful.

   This review is in no way about the story as I haven’t even gotten the chance to read it yet. It is solely based on the binding of the book… I received the book today after ordering it yesterday. So shipping was excellent. The book itself is poorly bound. The glue of the spine is nonexistent at the top of the book so the pages are slightly separated from the cover of the book at the top. At the bottom of the book, pages weren’t cut properly and were folded inward in what looked like a way to try and hide the error. That was a simple fix. I straightened them out and placed a heavy item on the book to ensure they were flat, and just cut them to match the rest of the pages… I have two other books in this order. One was in the same box and came with the bottom edges bent so I had to flatten those out. The next book arrives tomorrow and its the next book in this series. Hopefully it comes in better shape…
