Easily wipes clean and cooks evenly. I have it in a smaller size too. I show the pic of both to show the smaller pan after a year of lots of use. Wish they made a super large one. Love it!

This item is pretty sturdy and looks like a nice high-end piece of cooking equipment. It has a nice week to it and seems to be assembled well. The finish, however, is a disaster. Even in the product listings they indicate how delicate you need to be with this item which is hilarious because it is for grilling. It is a monster to clean, if there is a residue that can stick to it it will. The finish also has chips missing and scratches after the first use. Overall I am pretty displeased and will update when the thing is finally dead.

I am happy i purchased this unit. There were no reviews but I took a chance because of mixed reviews with other similar units. It makes great coffee. I love the gold filter because of convenience and full coffee flavor but you can also use a paper filter if you want. The controls are so easy. I was able to set the time, timer, finish chime, hot plate temp, and hot plate timer all with the center knob without the instructions. The display is larger than other Cuisinart units and the blacklight is not too bright. You can adjust the hotplate from L, M, H to control how hot your coffee is when you pour out. There is also an ice coffee feature that shuts off the hotplate when you brew so you can add over ice or add ice to the carafe and brew into the ice. This is a full 14 cup unit but the carafe seems to be of normal size. One design issue which at first seemed annoying, is the lid to the carafe does not hinge open. It snaps in place and is solid. I thought at first this was going to be frustrating when filling the carafe with fresh water. All other units I have owned were hinged, but after 2 weeks, It doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. There is enough room at the spout to fill the carafe and just remove it to clean the carafe. The unit looks nice and the buttons are marked with their purpose. Also the front is not cluttered with controls. It is very simple and attractive. One nice feature I noticed is when you are in process of brewing, the brew light dims and brightens off and on slowly as a visual indication of brewing and completed status. Also the display shifts from current time to hotplate countdown and if you desire a little more time to keep the coffee hot there is a +30 button to add 30 minutes to the hotplate timer. I have settled in nicely with this unit and it has become a welcome addition to our home. UPDATE: 2 months later and I still like this machine. I have had no issues and I am happy with my purchase.

We’ve been using generic brand electric wine openers for a while now and they keep dying after a while. So we decided to spend a few bucks more and buy this wine opener. It works really powerfully and seems to be consistent in opening bottles. It comes with a foil cutter that fits inside the base for storage. The only downside is it takes up a bit more space and is a bit wider around the grip than the other ones we had before we liked it so much we bought a second one for downstairs. It’s worth the extra $5 over other ones to get this one so good value for your money. It looks professional but just a bit wider.

Bought this to replace an Ikea pot that I've had for 10+ years. Doing well so far. It is pictured next to a 1.5 quart pot for reference. It is deep which helps reduce splatter and I haven't had any staining or burning issues yet. Had it for a couple of months now. Definitely recommend for the price.

I have no idea how well the machine works because I did not use it. I ordered a NEW machine and paid the new price but I received a USED, DIRTY machine so I promptly returned it.

There is a small dent on the pot right out of box, it looks like it's been stabbed by sharp things. The bottom of the 3-quart saucepan is slightly warped.

They covered up damage and it flaked off in my food. In much worse shape than reported

What a great fresh ground, single serve machine. The bean tank holds multiple days of beans. Recommend!

I purchased several pieces of Cuisinart bake ware when it was on sale in a local cooking store. They looked beautiful on the shelve and the silicon grips looked like a great idea. Unfortunately, in practice, I had a problem with each piece of bake ware. The silicon grips began melting starting with the first use. After cooking I would find small black junks laying at the bottom of the oven. After several uses one side melted so much that I was able to remove it, as I did not want silicon crumbs in the oven. The other side is melting as well, but at a slower right. I am attaching a photo (under customer photos in the top left of the main page) with the melted handle so you can see what happened to it. I had similar problems with the other Cuisinart bake ware pieces I bought at the same time. The cookie sheet is totally unusable because it twists in the middle of baking and the content lays on uneven surface, this pan at least is still usable. I am surprised and disappointed. Cuisinart name used to mean high quality to me. That's why I was willing to pay a premium price for the items. But this time the higher price was not worth it. Ali Julia review

Very nice weight to it. Super sharp. Love them!

We purchased this carafe for our DCC-1200 because keeping it hot in the non-thermal carafe caused the heating element to slightly 'burn' the coffee. This has been a great 'fix'! The coffee stays hot with the heater set at 'low' and there is no longer any burned coffee. *NOTE:* This carafe only holds 10 cups. If you fill the DCC-1200 to the top, water will spill over the carafe onto the counter. We fill the water reservoir with the carafe- no problems! Our lid was difficult to turn straight towards the spout (I believe this is uncommon). If it is not straight, coffee will spill when pouring. The wooden tool in the pictures above have made twisting the lid easy, but I suppose you could return it for another if that happened to you. Overall, this insulated carafe keeps coffee hot and tasty for several hours.

Compared to the simpler/basic coffee makers I'm used to, this has a lot of great features and makes me feel they spent a lot of time brainstorming how to make this a convenient coffee maker to use (at least for a still purely manual coffee maker). The reservoir has one of those angled plates with the measurements so that you can read the water level from the top instead of trying to look at a gauge on the side. Both the reservoir and this angled plate are removable to make cleaning the reservoir easier. I'm sure you'll still need to run a cleaning/descaling solution through the machine every once in a while, but this at least makes it so you can easily clean the reservoir as often as you do the carafe and filter basket. While I have filtered water on tap, there is a filter holder on the outlet of the reservoir for a small activated carbon filter (one is included along with a small set of paper filters packed into the filter basket out of the box). Note that activated carbon will help remove impurities that make water taste off, but will not remove the minerals that cause scale buildup. Finally there's a coffee measuring scoop built into the lid of the reservoir that's sized for one scoop per cup of hot coffee. They even made it so that the scoop attaches in either orientation into its slot so you're not messing with that before you've had your coffee. Along with the reusable nylon coffee filter, you really don't need anything to keep brewing coffee with this machine other than the ground coffee itself (and water... um, and electricity). You get about 30 inches of power cord (measured from the beginning of the plug to where it goes into the machine), which should be plenty for most counters. And it's got space in the body to stuff the whole cord into it up to the plug. In the end it's still just a drip coffee maker, but a convenient to use drip coffee maker. For some reason cuisinartoutlets.com asked me to rate this thing's "blending power" as one of its features. Unfortunately I'm going to have to give it one star for blending. I'm sure Cuisinart would discourage you from trying to use any part of this machine as a blender.

I bought this expecting a glass lid. It came with a metal lid. The initial image when you search is glass, but my order switched to a metal lid. Don’t buy if you want the glass lid as I did.

I got this thing during a Macy's clearance sale a few months ago for $25 and I just love it!!! I bought it for the stick hand blender but the attachments are great bonuses! My husband and I love soups and I always make our favorites, butternut squash soup and pea mint soup, with this blender. This gadget made soup-making 99% easier. I hate having to ladle the soup to a blender in batches and then back to the pot, etc... not to mention the cleanup. If you're not careful you could even splash yourself with hot soup! But with this blender, you just stick it in the pot for a minute or so and the soup's done! Some people complain about it having only one speed, but for me one speed is perfect! I can use it even with my eyes closed because there's just one button to press. I've also never had soup explosions. As long as the blender head is immersed in liquid, it won't splatter. The blade does creates a strong suction onto the bottom of the pot, so when this happens I press the off switch. I try to keep it an inch above the bottom of the pot as much as possible to prevent that suction. I've never used the whisk attachment because I have a stand mixer. But the chopper is very useful. I have a 10-cup food processor that has difficulty grinding small amounts of food/sauces. Like, there's no way I will make 5 cups of vinaigrette so this is where the chopper comes in handy. I used to make tartar sauce by hand but now I don't even need to take my knife out. I put everything in the mini chopper and in a few seconds, my tartar sauce is done! This is a must-have item in the kitchen if you love cooking. Try to get it on sale and life will be even much sweeter!
