Brand new iron with a chunk chipped out of it fresh out of the box. There's a note in the box about how it is tested before packaging. They must have dropped it and ignored the damage!! Fortunately it still works.

This thing is powerfull, easy to use, and easy to clean. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I was amazed the first time I used it and I now look for recipes that I can create with this. It is an enjoyable experience. Edited for additional information on 14 October 2010: After using this hand blender heavily, it developed a high pitched grinding noise when running. To fix this and restore the original operation, just squirt a small amount of WD-40 down the inside of the shaft. Run the hand blender for a few seconds in the normal, upright operating position while the WD-40 works into the bearings. Once it reaches the bearings, the noise will immediately disappear. Try not to use too much WD-40 as you don't want excess oil leaking through the shaft into the food. I'm attaching a picture of me squirting the oil in the product images so you can see where to apply the squirt of WD-40. UPDATE: Less than a month after I posted this review, the darn thing died completely. Like it will light up when you plug it in, but the heating element is gone and it won't brew anymore. I contacted Cuisinart in early March and they said they'd ship a replacement. It is now June and I've yet to receive that replacement. I was told "oops, we did not send the replacement" (accidentally?!) and please wait another 21 business days. I've been using the small coffee maker from our camper in the meantime. Had I know this was going to go into being a months long process, I might have just sprung for another darned coffee maker. Terrible customer service. I've sent no less than 15 emails in this process! I have owned this coffee pot for about 10 months now. Initially I loved it. It *was* sleek, pretty, and shiny. It brews a decent cup of coffee, but it needs a lot of grounds to make it strong enough and this is where the problems come in. The coffee and grinds backwash or drip into the water reservoir. I've not been able to watch it happen, but we've had full on "coffee" in the clear water side on multiple occasions and this part is NOT removable, so you can't just wash it. When this happens, the filter has to be removed and washed out, too. I've had so much mess with this portion and it makes no sense how coffee can spill and/or regurgitate into the clean water compartment, just a major design flaw. The pot is a TIGHT fit. It is tall and it's tight, so you have to sort of tip it to get it into the spot correctly. This is a problem when there is still a lot of coffee in the pot. My pot is still intact, but I am admittedly super careful with it. The buttons are gone. All of them, gone. Basically this means we don't get to use any of the features of the darned thing that make it so expensive because who knows what they do? The brew button is on it's way out, too. The only good news. It does make coffee and it does turn itself off every day with a beeping tone. I can basically say "hey I've been up for 2 hours" when it goes off, but that is about it. Overall, very disappointed in this Cuisinart product... which says a lot, since I own so many! I am awaiting customer service's response on my complaints, but from others I've seen, I am not holding my breath.

amazing small pan. lightweight, but still with a thick bottom. very well made. highly recommended

I am so happy with this fondue pot. I wanted an electric pot that could do cheese, chocolate and oil to cook meat, which this set does. I made the fondue cheese recipe on the stove top first as most recipes recommend, then transfered it to the pre- heated fondue pot. There are 10 heat levels that increase in .5 increments. This allows for precise heat control which is needed. The highest I turned it up was a 2.5, at that heat setting the outside of the pot stayed cool enough to touch which is great so you don't accidentally burn yourself (prob would get quite hot at warmer settings). The pot is attached to the stand which I really like so it doesn't slip or move when using and also doesn't require a hot pad under it. After the cheese was in the pot for 2.5 hours I was not looking forward to scrubbing the cheese out. I was so surprised that the leftover cheese literally slid right out after it cooled. All I had to do was just wash out the oil from the cheese that was left behind, there was absolutely no stuck on cheese. That's a major bonus imo! I have no regrets with this fondue set.

I'm in the process of replacing my pans with plastic and I have a wonderful old set of Reverware that they don't make anymore. But the handles are all plastic and while they will last a million years, I don't want any plastic in my kitchen. So I bought a set of stainless steel pans, but needed to supplement the smaller sizes, which I use more of. I bought one of the 1-quart and 1 of the 2-quart pans. This Cuisinart 2-quart pot is built to last. It's heavy, and will endure all my cooking nightmares. It's dishwasher safe, which is a must for me. It's 4 cups and has a very light measuring gauge inside which I can barely see, and am sure will rub off in time. The lid is not glass, but metal and is very sturdy as well. Completely happy with this purchase.

Hermosos cuchillos, me encantaron!

I bought this pan in 2015, and though I thought it felt pretty light in structure, I didn't have any problems with it until my step daughter burned it up after leaving it on the stove with sugar water in it for who knows how long. She bought me another to replace it, and I am so disappointed. Same pan, I used it with a steamer last week to steam some veggies, and today needed another large pot to boil eggs in. I have to put salt in the water because our eggs are fresh, and that helps them to peel. I looked in the pan to see if the water was in full boil and saw in the bottom of the pan many dark spots that looked like it was through a very thin veneer of stainless steel. These spots are just that. This is the second time I have used this pan. The spots are corrosion. At this point, I don't know what to do with the pan. If you're looking for a good set of heavy SS pans, I bought a set of Cook's Standard pans, and they are really heavy and nice. Don't buy this.

I originally bought this toaster as a temporary solution until the one i wanted to buy was back in stock. But after using this toaster I no longer see the need in buying a more expensive one because this one does everything I need it to. At this price point you will NOT find a better toaster. It's simple, yet looks attractive on my counter. The shape and design makes it easy to clean. I have toasted bagels, and other types of bread in it and so far it works great. I notice in alot of reviews, not only for this toaster but many others as well, that people complain about the toasters not toasting "perfectly even". I never realized how many OCD people there were in the world until I read those reviews. LOL. The reality is no toaster will ever make a piece of toast exactly the same shade top to bottom, front to back. It's simply unrealistic due to science. Toast is toast. As long as it's toasted, and not burnt... who cares what it looks like? It is important to remember that different types of breads, and different brands of breads use different ingredients. Therefore my toasting experience may not be the same as yours. You have to experiment with your new toaster to find the settings that work for you based on the kind of bread you are toasting. Different ingredients in different breads cause them to toast within different time frames. My preferred setting on this toaster is 3. I started at 5, then 4, and kept going lower until I found a setting that didn't burn the brand of bread I buy. You will have to do the same. But once you find the heat level setting that works for your brand and type of bread, it's smooth sailing moving forward. I would also like to address the "chemical smell", "burning plastic smell" reviews. YES THERE WAS A BURNING SMELL THE FIRST TIME I USED THE TOASTER. It's normal when you are running electricity through heated metal coils for the first time. Again... this is science. It is to be expected. IT WILL GO AWAY AFTER A COUPLE USES. I turned on the toaster for 3 back to back cycles without bread, then 3 back to back cycles with bread that I threw away. After that... NO SMELL. Make sure you have the windows open when you do this. This is currently the #1 top rated toaster on cuisinartoutlets.com. I think it deserves that spot in the rankings. Buy it.

**** UPDATE 3/17/2025 **** It has been two years five months since my purchase. I'm still brewing no less than four K Cups per day. No issues to date. I'm still using the 1 to 2 vinegar/water ratio to descale as recommended by Cuisinart. Today I ran a 12 oz hot water cycle (without K Cup) and got the same 13 oz output as when the coffee maker was new. As stated in my original review if a K Cup was used it soak up some water and the output would be about 12 oz, **** END OF UPDATE **** I purchased this unit on October 15, 2022. Today is June 23, 2024. About four or five cups of coffee have been brewed daily since I received the unit. So far I have not had any issues. ***** QUALITY ***** Some reviewers compared this model SS-10P to an older similar Cuisinart model SS-700 (discontinued) stating the older model is built better. I have been on this planet quite a few years and agree “they don't make em like the used to”. IMHO this applies to most small kitchen appliances whether the brand is Cuisinart, Keurig, ACME or whoever. With that being said my review is based on what is available in today's market I purchased this Cuisinart SS-10P to replace a Keurig Slim that was on it's second warranty replacement. The Keurig Slim was purchased to replace an older working Keurig to save counter space. One deciding feature for my purchase is the three year warranty and U.S. based support (I think) available by voice call. I called Cuisinart regarding another appliance and I asked the agent if he was U.S. Based. He replied yes. ***** FEATURES ***** The features are basic. Brewing temperatures, auto shut off, auto power up (based on time set), clock, 4, 8, 10 and 12 ounce cups, hot water only, time to descale notice. There is no brew strength setting. ***** BREWING AND NOISE ***** As other reviewers have stated the brew time is slower than some other coffee makers. I agree. In my opinion the faster the brew the weaker the coffee, the slower the brew the stronger the coffee. Maybe the brew speed is a compromise. I agree the brewing process is louder than other coffee makers. For my personal preference this does not bother me at all. How loud is too loud is subjective. The select brew size is reasonably accurate. I ran a hot water only 12 oz. The amount of water measured was about 13 oz. See attached photo number 1. If a coffee pod was being brewed some of the water would have been soaked up by the coffee grounds. ***** MAINTENANCE ***** I don't baby my Cuisinart. I have been waiting on the descale notice to appear before descaling the unit. Today after descaling I decided to descale once per month in the future and not wait for the descale notice to appear. The Cuisinart manual hints at not waiting on the descale notice. This may add little more to the life of the unit. Cuisinart says to use 20 oz vinegar mixed with 40 of water to descale the unit. I heave been doing this. No problems. I use store brand vinegar which is literally dirt cheap compared to some coffee maker manufactures who recommend their branded pricey descale solution. I purchased the Cuisinart filters (two pack) just once. I no longer use their pricey filters or a third party cheaper filter (lower quality?). I use filtered tap water for brewing. Yes, I agree filters may help. It's just my personal choice. My only real complaint is cleaning the area under the “pod holder”. See photo number 3 with the holder removed. Over time some loose grounds will find it's way to this hidden area. I can get just one finger into this area from the top. I used two methods to clean. (1) A wet paper towel wrapped around my finger. (2) Let completely dry and use a small brush to sweep the grounds out of the bottom hole (pod holder removed). I am dinging one star because of this design. ***** CONCLUSION ***** My personal requirement is a basic reliable coffee maker. I use the auto shut off feature, the brew size and hot water only feature. I don't use the other features. I am not a picky coffee drinker. Overall this Cuisinart unit works for me.

Updated Oct 2022, after now 4+ Months, changed my Opinion.. Poor Toasting Quality Read On. I have added two more videos I can not recommend for regular slice bread toasting.. and not sure it would be any better for thicker slices.. as I experimented with that as well , didn't seem to make a difference. We spent a lot of time looking at reviews. We chose this toaster because of features and claims by others how well it made just pain bread toast as well that we could toast 4 slices vs. 2 at one time.. The features are nice and good. However, as far as toasting bed.. Poor results.. have to use the highest setting #7, once pop up, have to Flip the toast over to get the other side. See Video,.. however the reason it does not do so good with Thin Slice toast because the SLOTS are so wide the Elements Air Gap.. if a Texas Toast wide or Bagel it would toast Well, Also if You Pre-Heat the toaster in advance, because the Energy Heat at first is being Absorbed into the Toaster itself, so Pre-Heat it, then put your Thin Slice toast normal wonderbread type will do better and you will not have to toast twice. First setting you see in Video is 7 the highest, then after it pops up , I did it again at setting 3. You will see in the Video the results of both.. This is about a total 5 minute Video to do this.. All in all it is a nice toaster, we like the features. Just disappointed we have to toast Thin Slice Bread Twice, vs. Thick Slice. it is because of the Wide Gap for Thicker Bread that causes the problem. Would give it a higher rating otherwise.. So what we learned since we use 98% normal thin slice toast.. Would have purchased a Narrow Toast Gap vs. this version .. with the Wide Openings. Its a good toaster. But not so good for thin sliced bread. I do not recommend, after using it 4+ months..Disappointed Not worth the money, unless your just wanting appearance or a boat anchor, But as a toaster.. poor results for regular toast.. slices. have to toast Always twice and its always Uneven..

I really wanted to like this cordless hand blender. Pros: it’s cordless, it’s powerful and I like the color and how it looks. Unlike others, I appreciate the safety features on this blender. My mom had a bad finger accident a few years ago with an older cuisinart that didn’t have the safety feature. The lock/unlock workflow isn’t the most intuitive but can be learned. Cons: 1. the metal housing around the blade is sharp and has very sharp corners. This made scratches even in my stainless steel pan… can’t imagine what it might do to any non-stick cookware. 2. I typically don’t like utensils that are not dishwasher safe. Neither blade/shaft nor the whisk can be tossed in the dishwasher, adding to the chores. 3. it’s single speed… however I knew that going in. I’m now looking at Vitamix which is more expensive, but has a guard to avoid utensils from getting scratched and has variable speed. Not sure if Vitamix parts are dishwasher safe. [edit] Ultimately I splurged a bit and got the Breville All In One which was rated highly by Wirecutter, and I’m quite happy with it.

This is, by far, my new favorite piece of cookware! This Cuisinart griddle is a dream! While not as heavy as cast iron, it’s obviously quality material and construction. The griddle heats evenly so there isn’t any portions partially cooked. It cools quickly, and easily cleaned. I like to prepare make-ahead breakfasts. I can now whip up double the amount of pancakes in far less time. Today, I fried 36 pancakes in less than 30 minutes. In the past, it would take an hour to make half that amount in a skillet. I’ve e also used to to prepare multiple quesadillas. Previously, in my largest skillet, I could only prepare two at a time. Now I can make 4-6 at once. When I purchased a new stove a few years ago, it came with a cast iron griddle. However, it’s heavy, cumbersome, and difficult to clean. Plus, I have to wait a long time for it to fully cool in order to clean it.

Very disappointed that this broke while washing in warm soapy water with a sponge

1 star down because the trays are not stainless and they stain after first use. The stains don't come out with anything that involves regular dishwashing products, and I haven't tried the super toxic ones for oven cleaning. So, while the oven looks nice, the trays get nasty pretty soon.
